The Duke and Dutchess of Cambridge sure do know how to throw a dinner party. The royal couple hosted a get together at St. James’ Palace last night, and raised almost $1 million for the Child Bereavement Charity in which William is a patron.

“What you are both doing together to alleviate the suffering of children who have lost family members, and bereaved families who have experienced the tragedy of losing a child, is beyond praise,” said the prince while his wife, stunning in a long red gown, looked on.

Her Sarai dress, by Beulah London, was a red silk Jersey with chiffon sleeves (cost: just under $900).

William, who has joined forces with the 100 Women in Hedge Funds to raise money for good causes, also said he found it “gratifying” that two organizations “are working so superbly with one another. ”

Ann Chalmers, chief executive of Child Bereavement Charity, said in a statement that the “funds raised will be transformational in helping us extend our reach to more bereaved children, families and professionals throughout the U.K.”

Chris Tucker made headlines a few days ago after it was reported that his Florida mansion is being foreclosed on and that he owes over $4.4 million. The actor reportedly purchased the home back in 2007 for $6 million, but apparently the lavish digs are currently assessed at $1.6 million. That’s the least of his worries seeing as how he allegedly owes the IRS $11 million!!

But according to the Miami New Times, Chris was able to joke about his financial problems during his comedy show on Saturday night at the Fillmore Miami Beach.

“That’s the last time I let Wesley Snipes help me out with my taxes,” he said.

He later joked about bill collectors, saying, “They calling you acting like you owe them the money personally! ‘We need the money.’ I don’t owe you s***! This is between me and the company!”

Hollywood is getting ready for the Footloose remake, so dancer and girlfriend to Ryan Seacrest, Julianne Hough, is making her interview rounds promoting the film as much as possible. During her recent visit to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, she tells Jimmy that because her family is made up of all dancers, they’re like the “blonde Osmonds”:

Julianne and her brother Derek Hough became household names as pro dancers on the ABC hit Dancing With the Stars.

“My mom and dad met on a ballroom team in college,” Julianne said. “It’s kind of just in my family.

And her family shows up in dance scenes in Footloose!

“Just spot the blondes,” Julianne said on Late Night of her relatives in the crowd scenes. There are so many of them that she lost track of the numbers when it came to listing her nieces and nephews.

It’s no surprise that growing up, the family members were part of a group called White Lightening.

“We were like the blonde Osmonds,” she quipped.

People asking Lindsay Lohan’s rep to comment on Lindsay’s mouth full of rot. Yesterday I posted a bunch of pictures of Lindsay at a video game launch, and one of them included this gem below. Lindsay’s teeth are all sorts of wonky.

Her publicist responded:

“Lindsay is widely acknowledged as one of the most stunning actresses of her day, and we get requests every week wanting to do photo shoots with her from top photographers.She’s been on the cover of Vanity Fair and the top beauty and fashion magazines. She’s a beautiful and glamorous actress.

With everything going on – from deteriorating public education to rampant homelessness to international unrest – there is no way I’m going to comment on Lindsay’s teeth.”

Hahaha! Lindsay’s publicist has much more going on right now than some rotting teeth. Yesterday Lindsay was kicked out of her community service program for not showing up as scheduled. According to TMZ, Lindsay blew off 9 scheduled visits, and when she did show up she would leave after only an hour – when she was required to stay for at least 4.

And here’s even MORE bad news for Lindsay.

Lindsay Lohan has violated the judge’s order in her probation case by not seeing a psychologist at least once a week … TMZ has learned … and that may be enough to send her to the slammer.

Judge Stephanie Sautner made it clear to Lindsay during her sentence last May … she MUST see the shrink every week, but she has not. We’re told one of her excuses is that she’s been working out of the country, but Judge Sautner made it extremely clear … work is not an excuse for failing to comply with the terms of probation.

And, Judge Sautner said, if Lindsay violates any court order, she’s going to jail … period.

As we first reported, it’s even worse, because Lindsay was kicked out of the Downtown Women’s Center, where Judge Sautner ordered her to perform 360 hours of community service … kicked out because she repeatedly failed to show up, and when she did she frequently did not stay the required 4 hours at a time. That’s another violation of Judge Sautner’s court order.

And there’s even more bad news for Lindsay. Judge Sautner is going to be extremely unhappy when she learns how much community service Lindsay has completed. Sources connected with the Probation Department tell us, as of September 30, Lindsay logged a grand total of 21 hours, leaving 339 hours which must be completed by May 11, 2012.

Short story … Lindsay could go to jail next week, when she appears before Judge Sautner for her progress report.

So I understand how Lindsay’s publicist doesn’t want to comment on her teeth. She’s got bigger fish to fry right now!

Actress Amber Heard came out of the closet at last year’s Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation 25th anniversary celebration. Her reason? She wanted to help and encourage other lesbians.

The Playboy Club and Rum Diary actress insists she has always been open about her own sexuality but chose to make it obvious at the gala by turning up hand-in-hand with her partner, photographer Tasya van Ree.

Immediately, the straight media went crazy with reports about the blonde’s sexual preferences.

She says, “I’ve always been out. Way before that event, there were pictures of me walking to press events holding my girlfriend’s hand.”

But she had never really spoken about her sexuality and Heard can only hope the fuss was worth it.

She tells Black Book magazine, “I talked about my relationship because there’s a difference between being a private person and being part of the problem. I knew that I had a responsibility to young people, who right now are without many role models, to kind of step out of my comfort zone and acknowledge that I have a girlfriend without being ambiguous about it.

“At the end of the day, if you’re hiding something, then you are inadvertently saying it’s wrong, and I don’t feel like it’s wrong.”
