Rihanna was caught yesterday using bandannas as underwear and parading half naked in Ireland while filming her music video for her latest single, ‘We Found Love.’ Apparently not everyone is keen on showing skin, because Alan Graham, the Irish farmer who owns the property where Rihanna and crew were filming, hopped off his tractor and told the singer to cover up.
“I thought it was inappropriate. I requested them to stop and they did. I had a conversation with Rihanna. I hope she understands where I’m coming from. We shook hands.”
Graham had no problem telling the multi-platinum pop princess to cover up, in part, because he said he didn’t know who she was.
“I didn’t know who was coming: If the name ‘Rihanna’ had been mentioned, well, no disrespect but it wouldn’t have meant anything,” he said. “From my point of view, it was my land, I have an ethos and I felt it was inappropriate.
“I wish no ill will against Rihanna and her friends. Perhaps they could acquaint themselves with a greater God.”
After paying a fine, attending drug counseling sessions and performing community service, the 30-year-old heiress has met the terms of her probation. (In Aug. 2010, Hilton and then-boyfriend Cy Waits were busted at a traffic stop in Las Vegas; she pled guilty to cocaine possession, and Waits was charged with driving under the influence of marijuana.)
As reported by the Las Vegas Sun, Justice of the Peace Joe Bonaventure formally closed Hilton’s case in a Las Vegas courtroom Tuesday morning. (MORE)
Jennifer Aniston hit the red carpet at the New York premiere of her newest flick, “Five” in a subtly sexy all black ensemble. Katie Holmes, who got her start on TV, is going back to her roots with a guest appearance on “How I Met Your Mother”.
Joining a long list of stars (Britney Spears, Martin Short, Enrique Iglesias, Joe Manganiello, Rachel Bilson, Kim Kardashian and John Lithgow) who’ve stopped by the hit CBS series, Holmes will play an integral role in Ted’s search for love this season.
She’ll appear later this season as the Slutty Pumpkin, a character that fans first glimpsed in the first season of the series, when the gang threw a rooftop Halloween party, where Ted bonded with a masked woman whose number he later lost.
“Katie is a lovely and talented actress, which is why we’ve saved for her perhaps the most classily named character in our show’s history,” exec producer Craig Thomas told Vulture, who broke the story. Adding that the part is “literally six seasons in the making.”
PICS (Fame): Katie Holmes arrives at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills.
Lindsay Lohan is certainly enjoying the company of her latest employer, Philip Plein.
Just days after landing a modeling gig for Philipp Plein’s clothing line, Lindsay Lohan was spotted holding hands with the designer in Milan, causing many to wonder if the two had a romantic relationship to go along with their business partnership. The twosome didn’t seem shy about the public PDA while they were out shopping together on Monday, so are they more than just friends, or was it simply a bit of innocent hand-holding? Her rep got right to the point, telling Celebuzz:
“Lindsay is not dating Philipp Plein.”
On Sunday, Lindsay was seen striking a pose during a photo shoot for the Spring and Summer 2012 campaign. She changed in and out of a range of outfits including a summery red leather coat with matching short shorts.
When Lindsay was named the new face of the clothing line, Philipp said:
“Lindsay is a beautiful, highly acclaimed actress and model. We will be able to create unique images: Refined and luxurious, but also full of sensuality.”
Kirsten Dunst rocks a red Giambattista Valli top and skirt on the November cover of Canadian fashion magazine FLARE. Inside, the star of Melancholia talks to FLARE about her battle with depression, not dating actors, and what she thinks now about the controversy at Cannes.
On her 2008 treatment for depression: “I think that most human beings go through some sort of depression in their life. And if they don’t, I think that’s weird.”
On the stigmatism attached to depression: “People are embarrassed to talk about it…I would never put anyone down that was in that kind of space.”
On surprising herself with her raw performance in Melancholia: “It was really hard for me to watch because I don’t recognize myself in parts of that film. It weirds me out a little bit. Like my voice change, this look in my eye. It scared me a little bit.”
On director Lars von Trier’s anti-Semitic remarks at Cannes: “Lars is a friend of mine. I care for him deeply. He isn’t somebody that they tried to make him out to be.”
On not dating actors: “I haven’t dated an actor in a very long time. I’ve dated someone for a pretty long time now who’s not an actor [Razorlight singer Johnny Borrell], and it works better.”
On what acting means to her today: “Now I have a much more mature perspective on the whole thing and it’s not some fantasyland at all…I know what it’s like to be cooler and not as cool, and what roles did you get, and the ladders of what people expect.”
On her personal style: “I’m not someone who’s like, ‘This is my brand’…I’m not obsessed with clothes or into fads. I don’t need the It bags.”
