Nicki Minaj showed up at the MTV Video Music Awards last night looking like a big hot mess. There is nothing about this outfit that is even interesting. I mean at least when Lady Gaga shows up in a meat dress – it’s at least – interesting. This outfit looks like she raided a quarter machine and glued all her goods to her body. She was hands down the worst dressed of the evening…it just made no sense at all.

Just Jared wrote Nicki was wearing: “an Amato Couture pink corset, Shojotomo Japan shorts, thigh highs, and critter socks, Tsimori Chisato stockings, an Onch Movement ice cream necklace, Fifi and Romeo plastic cuffs, and Duepunti rings.”

Unfortunately, any time anyone shows up on the red carpet dressed like a circus performer, everyone will compare you to Lady Gaga. And unfortunately for Nicki Minaj - she just doesn’t come even close. She just looks like a hot mess – that’s all there is to it. It’s not even interesting, and that’s the worst part.

While Nicki’s dress was a total dud, the evening wasn’t a complete loss. Nicki won the award for ‘Best Hip-Hop Video’ for her song “Super Bass”.

Katy Perry and husband Russell Brand walked the black carpet at last night’s MTV Movie Awards looking like a cartoon character. Her dress, by Atelier Versace was just strange. Combine that with her pink hair (which looks completely unhealthy if you ask me), she looked just plain weird. I prefer her much more when she dresses “normally”. I feel like everyone’s trying too hard to make a fashion statement these days, ala Lady Gaga.

When Katy accepted her award for ‘Video of the Year’ (for “Firework”), she walked on stage wearing an ensemble by Dior, with what looked like a giant block of cheese on her head.

Katy also won ‘Best Collaboration’ for “E.T”, her collab with Kanye West.

Beyonce announced her pregnancy at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards!

As she walked the red carpet, someone tweeted, “OMG Beyonce just made a huge announcement on the #vma carpet! #baby!!!!!”

This will be the singer’s first child; she’s married to hip hop icon Jay-Z.

During her performance of “Love on Top,” Beyonce told the crowd, “I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside me.” Then at the end of the song she ubuttoned her coat and rubbed her belly.

Congrats to the couple!
