According to reports, Amy Winehouse was about to begin the process of adopting 10 year old Dannika Augustine from St. Lucia.

Dannika had been living in poverty with her single mom and agreed to let Amy adopt her. The two had become very close over the last two years.

“Amy was already my mother,” Dannika said. “I would call her mum and she would call me her daughter. She took care of me and we had fun together. I loved her and she loved me. She was the most amazing person and I was looking forward to living with her here or in London. I cannot believe she is gone.”

Dannika’s grandmother, Marjorie Lambert, told the tabloid she had hired a lawyer to begin the adoption process. “Amy used to beg me, ‘I want to adopt Dannika. I want to take her to England,’ she recalled. “She was prepared to move to St Lucia to be her full-time mum. Amy wanted to have a child so bad.

“If she had not died, there is no doubt she would be here in St Lucia completing the adoption process,” she continued. “There is no way she would have done what she did to herself if Dannika was with her.”

Maria Shriver has a huge heart!

Shriver reunited with actor and former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger this weekend to celebrate his 64th birthday.

Maria, 55, filed for divorce from Schwarzenegger in early July when it was found out that he had fathered a child with their housekeeper.

The former couple reportedly had lunch together at Beverly Hills restaurant Casa Roma this Saturday and then went shopping together.



”Children and family come first,” says a source who knows the family.



Adds a second source: “Arnold and Maria will always come together when it comes to supporting and loving their children.”



I am not sure why she would want to help celebrate his birthday after all he has put her through. Maria Shriver must have a very forgiving heart.

Julie Pacino, 21, daughter of famous actor Al Pacino was arrested on Saturday in New York City for DWI.

Julie was arrested round 1:35 a.m. when she drove through a DWI checkpoint in her Mercedes Benz.

“She had bloodshot, watery eyes, slurred speech and the strong smell of alcohol on her breath,” says officer James Duffy, quoting the police report.

“She admitted to drinking three beers and smoking marijuana prior to entering the checkpoint.”

Julie was released on her own recognizance after she was arraigned on Saturday at 5:23pm.
