Pop singer Rihanna was seen in her hometown in Barbados participating in the Kadooment Day parade earlier today. Dressed in barely anything, including fishnets and a sequined bikini, the 23-year-old posed for pictures and tossed back cocktails as she was dancing in the rain during the festival.
The University of South Carolina has created a course on the sociology of fame featuring none other than Lady Gaga. The course will force students to discuss why there are certain celebrities who wholeheartedly embrace their fame and fans (such as Gaga), while others have public breakdowns (a la Britney Spears). It can’t be as bad as the college who had an entire course scheduled around Lil Kim and the other who’s focus was Tupac.
Michael Lohan is back making statements about his troubled daughter, Lindsay Lohan. In light of singer Amy Winehouse‘s death shedding even more light on celebrities and their unhealthy habits, Michael has spoken out yet again about his daughter’s partying ways:
“I’m so worried about the people around my daughter; she continues to surround herself with people that are going to hurt her,” he says.
“It’s sad and very scary what is happening to Lindsay. I just what her to get it right.”
“Ali is literally the only person I know that can help her. Right now all she needs is her family. Dina, Michael, Cody, Ali and I are the only ones that can help her stay sober. She needs to come home literally and metaphorically. Dina and I are in a much better place to support her in her sobriety.”
“What will it take for her to listen?”
“Jail is not the right place for her, but she needs to go to a rehab that understands her problems. She has been to some of the worst rehabs in the country. Just because they have a name doesn’t mean they have the right program.”
“Maybe Lindsay should go to college with Ali,” he mused.
Actor Hugh Jackman and his kids were spotted in Saint-Tropez thoroughly enjoying beach time and splashing around in the ocean. Nothing like seeing Wolverine jumping around in the water like a big kid with a huge grin on his face.
Pop sensation Lady Gaga visited The View earlier today, and she spoke openly about her thoughts on recently deceased singer Amy Winehouse’s death as well as her own past struggles with drugs and alcohol.
“And I really couldn’t speak for like 48 hours straight….we can learn from Amy’s death.
“I don’t feel that Amy needed to learn any lessons. I felt that the lesson was for the world to be kinder to the superstar.[...]Everyone was so hard on her and everything that I knew about her was that she was the most lovely and nice and kind woman.”
Gaga said that she previously had an addiction to cocaine, but it’s her father who has kept her on the straight and narrow. When asked if she takes any drugs currently, she admitted:
“I am a little part of the green club sometimes,” Gaga said, referring to smoking marijuana.

Hunky actor Colin Farrell didn’t look too happy when he was spotted wearing jeans, a flannel shirt, a jacket and a hat in New York yesterday, seeing as it’s as hot you-know-what out there…but I must say, he still looks good. Though, even when he posed for pictures with fans he looked a tad miserable. Colin was making the press rounds in NYC, including stopping by Regis & Kelly to talk about his upcoming vampire movie Fright Night.
Actors Christian Bale and Tom Hardy were spotted on the steps of the Mellon Institute in Pittsburgh, Penn., yesterday filing scenes from the upcoming flick, ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’ You can seen Tom Hardy in costume as the character, Bane!
