A rep for Jada Pinkett Smith is opening up exclusively to ET about rumors that Jada and husband Will Smith have split up.
Pinkett Smith’s publicist, Karynne Tencer tells ET, “Everything about the Marc Anthony story is completely false, but we are not commenting on whether they are separating or not.”
I have no idea what Marc Anthony story she’s talking about. Jada and Marc star in ‘Hawthorne’ together on TNT, and the pair have an onscreen romance. Maybe there was some rumor about them having an offscreen romance.
My question to that is: How the heck do you go from Will Smith to Marc Anthony? Just sayin…
We knew Selena Gomez could sing. We knew she could act.
But who knew she could rap?
The pop star has been performing Nicki Minaj’s hit “Super Bass” as part of her summer “When the Sun Goes Down” tour, dropping some impressive rhymes. Check out her performance from Hershey Park on Sunday, originally posted on YouTube:

Richard Branson owes Academy Award-winning actress Kate Winslet many thanks for rescuing his elderly mother from a fire that destroyed his Caribbean home.
Branson said about 20 people, including Winslet, her children, and his mother were staying in his eight-bedroom house on his private island in the British Virgin Islands when it was struck by lighting during a tropical storm on Monday.

Branson said no one was hurt. He said in his blog that he wanted to offer “many thanks to Kate Winslet for helping to carry my 90 year (old) mum out of the main house to safety.” He joked that Winslet “was wondering when a director was going to shout ‘CUT!’”
Branson said he was staying in another property around 100 yards (meters) away with his wife, Joan and son Sam, 25.
He said the fire broke out around 4 a.m. during a tropical storm with lightning and high winds, and Sam managed to help evacuate Winslet and other guests from the house. Branson said the guests, including his daughter Holly, 29, all managed to get out safely.
Branson said the house was “completely destroyed” and the fire was not entirely out Monday.
“My office was based in the house and I have lost thousands of photographs which is very sad,” Branson said.
He said he planned to rebuild the house “as soon as we can.”
“We’ll all stay here for the time being,” he said. “There’s a lot of damage and we won’t be able to stick it back together again right away.”
Virgin said the cause of the fire was still being investigated but lightning was the likely culprit.
Scary!

Ok I’m gonna admit something that may come as a shock to some of you. I’m not into sports. I never really have been. I played volleyball and basketball in highschool, but if you blinked you probably could have missed me. I was surrounded by people who were obsessed with sports. My dad, sister and brother were all successful athletes. I just never really cared that much about sports. I could have found a million other things I’d rather be doing! But then – I had children.
I have two boys, 11 and 9, and I absolutely LOVE watching them play sports! I quickly realized the importance of sports – and for so many reasons! I strongly encourage my kids to play sports for many reasons – and here are a few!
Organized sports allows children to learn physical skills in a relatively safe environment, with adults who are charged with maintaining the rules and safety of the participants. The American Academy of pediatrics states that “In contrast to unstructured or free play, participation in organized sports provides a greater opportunity to develop rules specifically designed for health and safety.” Sports also give children the opportunity to be physically active and develop a healthy lifestyle that supports their athletic endeavors. Physical activity as children can help lessen their risk of developing adult diseases such as diabetes and heart disease.
Children who participate in sports can learn social skills such as taking turns and teamwork. They can also learn about responsibility to a team and how everyone needs to do their part for the team to be successful. Through sports, children learn how to take direction from a coach and adapt to different situations. Also, through sports, children have the opportunity to make friends with other kids with similar physical interests.
Children who participate in sports can also reap emotional benefits when they are given positive sporting role models and experiences. From sports children “learn the value of practice and the challenge of competition,” and these are lessons that children can learn to apply to other non-sporting parts of their lives. Given the right examples, children can also use sports to create a healthy self-image and a positive view of their body.
It is the recommendation of the American Academy of Pediatrics that regular physical activity should be encouraged for all children, whether or not they participate in sports. Parents should watch that their children are continuing to have fun and make sure that they, as parents, are not pushing their child beyond his limitations. According to Amy Winehouse’s family, the singer had no illegal drugs in her system when she died, and it is still unclear what killed the singer.
The Winehouse family said in a statement that they’ve seen the toxicology reports, and admit “alcohol was present”, but it has yet to be determined if that’s what contributed to her death.
The 27-year-old soul diva, who had battled drug and alcohol addiction for years, was found dead in her London home on July 23, and an initial post-mortem failed to determine the cause of death.
A statement released by spokesman Chris Goodman on the family’s behalf said “toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy’s system at the time of her death.”
It said the family awaited the outcome of an inquest that is due to begin in October.

Winehouse’s father, Mitch, has said his daughter had beaten her drug dependency three years before her death, but he admitted she was still struggling to control her drinking after several weeks of abstinence.
Mitch Winehouse told mourners at the singer’s July 26 funeral that she had said to him, “`Dad I’ve had enough of drinking, I can’t stand the look on your and the family’s faces anymore.’”
The Winehouse family announced plans to establish a charitable foundation in the singer’s name to help people struggling with addiction – although Mitch Winehouse has said the plans are on hold because someone else had registered the name Amy Winehouse Foundation.

Ever since last week’s suicide of Taylor Armstrong’s husband Russell, I’ve really been struggling with whether or not I’d watch the upcoming season of ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’. It’s obvious from the previews that the new season is largely about Taylor and her mental condition – as she nears the end of her marriage. From what I’ve heard majority of the season will play out the end of Taylor and Russell’s marriage, and Taylor’s constant pain and anguish.

After Russell committed suicide, the airing of these episode would be in such bad taste, in my opinion. I think Bravo either needs to cancel the season – OR – remove any scenes involving Taylor and Russell.
People Magazine believes they should shelve the whole season:
A reality show may present itself as a grand mansion, but it’s essentially a prefab house plunked down on what the owners hope looks like solid ground: If an earthquake rumbles below and splits open a fissure, the foundation of the house goes, goes, goes down, down, down.
Bravo has set about trying to repair the tragic mess that is now season 2 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The season, which was scheduled to premiere Sept. 5, will be reedited and possibly postponed in light of the suicide of Housewife Taylor Armstrong’s estranged husband, Russell. According to Variety, it’s likely that Russell’s presence – that is, his life – will be reshaped or reduced.
The fact remains that public interest in the show is now higher than ever. But, in a better world, Bravo would just go ahead and scrap not just the season but the entire series. And I say that as a fan of the show. The first season was one of the most entertaining things ever to come out of Bravo.
The death of Russell can’t be treated merely as an act of God or some incidental tragedy. His suicide by hanging weeks before the premiere was intimately connected with Taylor’s public and personal life. It may very well be that his death would have happened without press scrutiny, without Taylor’s overnight fame and the disturbing revelations about his abusive behavior, but the possibility can’t be eliminated. This isn’t a garnish of parsley that can be scraped aside and off the plate.

Russell, although unseen, figured heavily in the season premiere screening disc Bravo sent out to critics earlier this summer: At a dinner reuniting the Housewives, Taylor, 40, was openly distraught over the state of her marriage – weeping in the powder room – but assuring everyone she was doing all she could to save her marriage.
Lisa Vanderpump suggested that Taylor knew how to turn the tears on and off, and her husband, Ken, mocked marriage counseling. Even before Russell’s suicide, they came across as stupendously cavalier. How much of this will remain?
Even if Taylor were to quit the show and move to an undisclosed island, claiming the need to shelter her daughter and her own spirit, Camille Grammer and the others would still be required, somehow, at some point, to address the issue. Awkward, one might say. And if Taylor remains, as the show spills into seasons 3 and even 4, how naturally can she be expected to mourn and recover with women who are not so much friends as costars? Or even possibly hostile costars?
What do you think? Should Bravo scrap the series? Cancel this season? Remove Russell from all episodes?
