Casey Anthony was sentenced this morning to four years in jail for lying to authorities during the investigation into her missing daughter, Caylee.
Judge Belvin Perry Jr. gave Casey the maximum on each charge, resulting in a four-year prison sentence. Unfortunately, because Casey has already been in jail for three years, the judge ruled this morning that Casey will be able to walk out of jail this coming Wednesday. That’s just a few weeks shy of what would have been Caylee’s sixth birthday.
I was watching this morning as Casey strutted into the courtroom. For the first time since the trial began, Casey’s hair was down – and she was wearing a much different shirt that she normally has (pic above). She walked into the courtroom with almost a swagger, I’m not kidding. I bet she thought she was going to walk out of jail this afternoon!
Some commentators on HLN were all discussing what Casey’s going to do now. Will she go back home to her parents? She was living with them before she killed her daughter. Where will she go? What will she do? Many people suspect she will go to Los Angeles and try and profit off of her notoriety. Some claim she’ll hide out for a while before going public.
I believe she’s going to stay in the public eye and try and profit off this case as much as she can. From what I’ve read – did you know that if she walks out those doors and confesses to killing Caylee – they can’t do a damned thing to her!? It’s why OJ went on and wrote a book called “If I Did It” and pretty much detailed how he killed Nicole Brown.
HATE…HATE…HATE all this. Wish there was a different outcome. I hate the fact that Casey will be free soon, and will profit off all this. Course I’m only speculating, but given her character, I think she’s going to try and make some money off all this.
