MTV Movie Awards – what’s your take?

I’m sitting here watching the 2011 MTV Movie Awards, and I’m finding it extremely painful to watch! The joke are falling flat, Jason Sudeikis is just not funny!
The opening movie spoof featuring Eva Mendes and Taylor Lautner reinacting a ‘Hangover’ scene is not even the slightest bit funny. Further proof – in my opinion – that Taylor Launter can’t act, and if it weren’t for those abs he’d be starring in ‘Sharkboy & Lavagirl: Part 2′.
In Jason’s opening monologue he rambled off three + Arnold Schwarzenegger jokes, and not a single one was even funny.
Then the awards show moves on and allows Twilight to win practically every award it’s up for. Proving that the awards isn’t a bit about talent – and more about marketing. Each presenter is there because he/she has a new show or movie coming out. I don’t know, I found the whole show rather painful to watch.
Kristen Stewart wins in an ACTING category? Really?
And how awkward was Robert Pattinson during – say – the WHOLE SHOW?
In the second Twilight moment of the night, Pattinson, Xavier Samuel and Bryce Dallas Howard took home the popcorn trophy for Best Fight. Acting strangely awkward and nervous, Pattinson accepted his trophy, saying “I won!” only to follow by telling the expectant Howard, “I ripped your head off, and now you’re pregnant!”
Another awkward Robert Pattinson moment came when he was honoring Reese Witherspoon with this year’s Generation Award.
It’s probably best to just erase the whole mess from your memory, but to recap, Pattinson rehashed playing Witherspoon’s son in Vanity Fair—the scene later got cut—and then said he “f—–” her in Water for Elephants. He actually messed up the punchline, which Witherspoon later corrected with much better timing when she took to the stage, and in more Reese-related awesomeness, she stuck it to MTV with some advice for young girls, who think scandal is the route to success. “It’s also possible to make it in Hollywood without a reality show.”
Finally, Twilight takes home Best Movie, confirming MTV’s position as the Jersey Shore-pregnant teen-Twilight network.
I found the whole show strange, and rather boring. What’s going to happen at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards? Let me sum it up for you. Twilight will take home every award for ‘Breaking Dawn’.
I’m bored.
