Gwen Stefani is over her solo career. The singer has decided to call it quits after an 8 year solo career and two solo studio albums.
Stefani tells Entertainment Weekly, “That was a moment in time. It went on a little longer than we all thought it would, because it was inspired and you have to go with wherever you’re at in that time in your life … everything works out how it should.”
The No Doubt frontwoman branched out from her ska-pop rock band to start working on her first solo album, ‘Love.Angel.Music.Baby’ in 2003, which peaked at No. 5 on the US Billboard 200 upon its release in 2004. No Doubt subsequently went on an extended hiatus after 14 years of working together and five studio albums. Stefani’s debut album was followed soon after by the 2006 release of her sophomore ‘The Sweet Escape,’ which hit No. 3 on the US Billboard 200. Both albums went platinum.
Stefani admitted a new No Doubt album will take a while, as her bandmates are all busy, but Stefani insists she has no plans to release any more material without the guys. The band will officially announce future plans in a statement on Friday (June 10).
I’m excited! I loved No Doubt, and can’t wait to hear their new music!

Harry Potter star Emma Watson left Brown University back in March, and since then there have been all sorts of rumors circulating on the reason why. Emma has shot down all speculation without revealing the reasoning behind it, until now, citing her celebrity status as a hindrance at a normal life.
“I was in denial. I wanted to pretend I wasn’t as famous as I was. I was trying to seek out normality, but I kind of have to accept who I am, the position I’m in and what happened. I’ve never even been asked for an autograph on campus. I threw a party for nearly 100 students and not a single person put a photo on Facebook. Anyway, even if I was being given a hard time, I wasn’t going to wuss out of university because someone said ‘Wingardium leviosa’ to me in a corridor, or ‘Ten points for Gryffindor.’ I’ve been dealing with the media since I was nine. If I can’t stand up to a few people giving me a hard time, it’s a bit pathetic, really. I’ve had so much worse.”
Another problem she had was dating:
“I say to my friends, ‘Why hasn’t X called me? Why doesn’t anyone ever pursue me?’ They’re like, ‘Probably because they’re intimidated.’ It must be the fame wall. It must be the circus that goes around me. Me, as a person, I find it hard to believe I would be intimidating.”

Lady Gaga has raised the stakes on embarrassing situations, because nothing quite tops getting a congratulatory text message from Anna Wintour, and instead of thanking her, you accidentally call her a ‘b—h.’ Gaga shared her story at the CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday when she accepted her fashion icon award:
“I can’t believe I’m allowed in here. When I was told I won this award, Anna Wintour sent me a text message. She text messages. So she sent me a text message, and it said, ‘We’re so excited to tell you you won the CFDA fashion icon award.’ And I actually thought it was Anna Treblin, who was one of my very close friends and [my stylist] Nicola’s assistant, who I go out and have drinks with all the time. I have a couple Annas in my phone, so my reply was, ‘Yes, b—h, we did it.’ Quite quickly I got a reply that said, ‘How lovely, and we will all be waiting to see what you will wear, and then I thought, ‘Well won’t you be helping me choose what I will wear?’ And then I said, ‘Oh! it’s Anna Wintour.’”

Sure, she’s already an international superstar and has yet another Twilight movie about to hit theaters, but these are the greatest times of Dakota Fanning‘s life! With all the silver screen accomplishments under her belt, it’s hard to believe that Dakota Fanning is only graduating high school. On Monday, the 17-year-old became an official high school graduate from North Hollywood’s Campbell Hall Episcopal High School where she was not only a cheerleader, but homecoming queen. Her family, including younger sister and actress, 13-year-old Elle, looked on in praise and adoration as they watched her accept her diploma. No word yet on the teenager’s college plans.
Congrats!
