While catching  up with the original American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson during her Tupperware show in NYC for the Boys and Girls Club of America, Us Weekly no only spoke with the singing sensation about the event, but asked her about her feelings regarding the new season of American Idol, her thoughts on X-Factor, and she tells if she believes Texas girls are the toughest in the nation:

Us: Why did you decide to do this great event?

Kelly Clarkson: I think what Tupperware is doing with the Chain of Confidence is so important, creating a place where women can share confidence, show support and build each other up. I’ve learned how important confidence is, especially in this industry, and I am into anything that helps people just be themselves.

Us: Why is the Boys & Girls Clubs of America so important?

KC: The Boys & Girls Clubs of America is so necessary because they build places where children can have a safe haven and support center, which is so important for kids to have at a young age. That’s where confidence starts!

Us: What do you do to relax?

KC: I love spending time with my friends and family. And I just love to sing. I am also a reality show junkie-you name it, I watch it!

Us: Do you still watch Idol? Who should win?

KC: I do still watch Idol, more this season than any other! I totally love Lauren…I just love when you can see someone sing through their “person” and you can just feel it- she has so much beauty that comes through with her singing.

Us: Will you watch the X Factor?

KC: I will – I love all of those talent shows and think they are great for the whole industry, because they are all about the music and the voice-everything it should be about.

Us: What are your thoughts on having confidence while living in the limelight?

KC: It is so hard to find confidence in this industry when everyone is trying to tell you what they think you should be. I have learned to schedule a lot of “me” time so I can make sure I am always feeling my best. I have also been so lucky that God gave me amazing people in my life that help keep me grounded and be the best I can be.

Us: What’s your guilty pleasure?

KC: Reality TV- you name it, I watch it!

Us: Are girls from Texas tougher than girls from the other 49 states?

KC: I am so proud to be from Texas and I can say we definitely have tough girls. Traveling around the country I have noticed there are tough girls all over!

Us: When you get writer’s block how do you get over it?

KC: That is such a tough question! Sometimes it is better to just separate for a little while and hang out with family or friends until I can just be back in the writing zone.

Harry Potter actress Emma Watson has been opening up latelty about her decision to leave Brown University, and though initially her explanations were a bit vague, she did speak with Vogue magazine about how her decision to attend college put a wrench in the production of the Harry Potter flicks.

“I have felt for the last 10 years I have had this battle; I’ve been fighting so hard to have an education. It’s been this uphill struggle. I was Warner Bros.’ pain in the butt. I was their scheduling conflict. I was the one who made life difficult.”

She claimed that she wouldn’t renew her contract to film the latest Harry Potter movies if they wouldn’t work around her schooling.

“I just realized at one point that I can’t fight everything. I have to move in the direction of it — and go with it.”

What helped her through it? Actor James Franco, who was studying at the Rhode Island School of Design at the time.

“It was such a relief to speak to someone who is trying to do the same thing I’m doing. I talked to him about juggling studying and making films and going backward and forward. He’s not afraid or limited by what he fears people will say about it.”

Even though she decided to leave school, doesn’t regret having the guts to stand up to Warner Bros.

“I’ve probably earned the right to screw up a few times. I don’t want the fear of failure to stop me from doing what I really care about.”

The photographer who won a claim against Lindsay Lohan and her clothing line, 6126, is back, and he wants his money.

“TMZ has obtained a lawsuit, filed today in federal court, in which a photographer claims he was hired to shoot pics of Lindsay for a fashion line called 6126. The photog, Scott Nathan, claims he was promised a 1% interest in the clothing line in return for his work.

According to the suit, Nathan never got the 1% he was promised.

But that’s not all — Nathan is also suing Universal Music Group, claiming one of the images he shot for the fashion line somehow ended up as the cover for Lindsay’s song, ‘Bossy.’”

Poor Lindsay needs more people…or better people. The lawsuit was settled for an undisclosed amount and Lindsay was ordered to begin making payments in March of this year — which never happened. Now Scott wants a judge to enforce the settlement agreement, taking steps such as attaching bank accounts.

When asked about the settlement, Lindsay’s rep said:

“We don’t comment on any pending legal situations with third parties.”

This whole Kim Kardashian/Bret Lockett fiasco is unraveling in the most bizarre way possible. Just last week, New England Patriots player Bret Lockett’s InTouch Weekly story was released where he stated that he carried on a 5-month love affair with Kim Kardashian during her courtship with her NBA star fiance, Kris Humphries.

Bret claimed he has photos and text messages to back-up his claim, and Kim’s reportedly calling his bluff and the pair may meet (again) in court. In a TMZ Live interview Bret refused to tell when and where he met Kim, but he previously claimed that he recieved her number through a chain of people including one of Kim’s BFFs, actress Lauren London. Kim has vehemently stated that she doesn’t know, nor has she ever met, the man.

Despite his claims that the two did indeed have a physical relationship, he told Showbiz Tonight on Friday that he’s never actuallt met Kim in person.

Huh?

Bret, I think you bit off more than you can chew.
