The always controversial Charlie Sheen is known to have experimented with copious amounts of drugs, but it’s his recently admittance of using steroids during filming of Major League that caused eyebrows to raise. The actor told Sports Illustrated that for the 1989 film, he used anabolic steroids to increase his performance as baseball player Ricky ‘Wild Thing’ Vaughn.
“[L]et’s just say that I was enhancing my performance a little bit. It was the only time I ever did steroids. I did them for like six or eight weeks.
“You can print this, I don’t give a f–k. My fastball went from 79 to like 85.”
The only person who can out-weird Charlie Sheen is Charlie Sheen. What’s next?
Singer Rihanna continues to prove that she’s a do-gooder by donating the proceeds from an upcoming concert on July 11 in Birmingham, Alabama, to victims of the tornadoes that recently touched down in the state. Project Team Up, Tuscaloosa Disaster Relief Fund and the Mayor’s Disaster Relief Fund will all receive donations from the pop star who is more than happy to give what she can to those that lost their homes:
“Hearing about the hundreds of lives that have been lost and the communities that have been so devastated by this disaster … I wanted to figure out a way to help,” Rihanna said in a statement. “I’m hoping that bringing the ‘Loud’ tour through Alabama can provide a moment of relief and raise a lot of money for the charities we are working with.”
While Charlize Theron tells Piers Morgan she’ll never marry herself, she believes in same-sex marriage. She says “the actual ceremony is not something that’s important for me.” But thinks “When government starts to tell us who can love and what is ‘good love’… I do have a problem with that,” she explains during an appearance on “Piers Morgan Tonight.”
Harrison Ford has labeled his Indiana Jones co-star Shia LaBeouf an “idiot” for publicly bashing their movie.
The pair worked together on 2008′s Indiana Jones, and while it was a blockbuster hit that earned $800 million, it was panned by critics.
After the movie was released, LaBeouf admitted he was disappointed with the film, saying he had “dropped the ball”.
Last year, he said, “I feel like I dropped the ball on the legacy that people loved and cherished… You can blame it on the writer and you can blame it on (director) Steven (Spielberg). But the actor’s job is to make it come alive and make it work, and I couldn’t do it…”
And LaBeouf even claimed Ford agreed with him, adding, “We (Ford and LaBeouf) had major discussions. He wasn’t happy with it either.”
But now Ford has spoken out about the remarks, calling his co-star a “f**king idiot” for turning against the movie.
He tells Details magazine, “I think he was a f**king idiot. As an actor, I think it’s my obligation to support the film without making a complete a** of myself. Shia is ambitious, attentive, and talented – and he’s learning how to deal with a situation which is very unique and difficult.”
I don’t know if I necessarily agree with Harrison here. Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull DID SUCK. Shia was the only one who actually admitted it!
What do you think? Should Shia have kept his mouth shut?
No, Robert Pattinson did not get attacked by a rabid Twilight fan. Rob is on the set of his new movie, ‘Cosmopolis’ and his character took a cream pie to the face!
The actor has been in Toronto, Canada filming the movie since late last month.
