Emma Stone lands August Vanity Fair cover!

“I micro-manage,” Emma Stone tells Vanity Fair writer Alexandra Wolfe. “I think I’m a Type A personality who’s trying to convince herself she’s Type B,” the actress says, admitting that she still lays out her clothes and sets her coffee-maker for the morning the night before. Stone, who confesses she was nervous for her V.F. bikini cover shot, saying, “I usually wear a one-piece,” jokes that her only vices are sugar, wine, and black-tar heroin. “That’s pretty much it, the heroin, the sugar, and the wine—nothing too crazy.”

“Sometimes people recognize me,” Stone says of her public profile, “but they’re more like, ‘Oh, hey!’” As Stone’s star rises, however—the actress will appear in The Help, Friends with Benefits, and Crazy, Stupid, Love this summer—so does the presence of the paparazzi. “He stands up while I’m walking to my car and is like, ‘Hey, Emma! Listen, I’m going to delete these pics. Here’s my card,” Stone recalls of a recent encounter with a paparazzo. “‘If you ever go to the beach with your friends or walk out of your house in your pajamas, call me.’” Stone, confused, refused his card. “He’s like, ‘But I’m deleting these pictures, see?’ … These guys try to strike up a deal with you so you feel like they’re your friend. I didn’t even know that was a thing—that people would call them.”

Stone, who rarely tweets and shut off her Facebook account after she “got addicted to FarmVille,” admits to Wolfe that she is still grappling with certain aspects of being in the public eye—dating, for one. “Talking about this stuff is pretty new,” Stone, who won’t say if she is single or not, says of being asked by the press about her personal life. The actress concludes that “the only solution I’ve come to when it comes to things like that—the health of my family or dating, really personal things—is not to talk about it.”

As for the pressure in Hollywood to stay thin, while Stone allows that “I’m definitely more conscious of it as I’ve gotten older,” she says that she has not succumbed to extreme celebrity fad diets. “That diet, have you seen it?” Stone asks of the popular trainer to the stars Tracy Anderson’s recommended diet. “It’s like: Eat this diet, which is a palm-size piece of chicken and some beans, and work out two hours a day for the rest of your life.” The actress, who rock-climbs at Chelsea Piers in New York City, even admits that weight training and Pilates with Spider-Man co-star Andrew Garfield “brings out anger in me.”

Before her breakout role in Superbad, Stone had dropped out of high school and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of acting, enrolling in online classes and working part-time at a dog bakery. “I think three people called my specific cookies inedible to their dogs,” Stone said with a laugh. “I’m not a super-talented dog baker.” Stone, however, insists she has no regrets. “I did Superbad in what would’ve been my senior year,” she says. “I was playing a senior, and had I graduated I would’ve missed that opportunity, and had I missed that opportunity I wouldn’t be here right now.”

Stone tells Wolfe that she still remembers what she considers her hardest Hollywood moment, an audition for NBC’s Heroes. “I could hear that, in the other room, a girl had just gone in and they were saying, ‘You are our pick … On a scale of 1 to 10 you’re an 11,’” Stone recalls, before Hayden Panettiere—who ended up with the role of Claire Bennet—walked out of the room. “I went home and just had this meltdown,” Stone says, calling the experience “rock bottom.”

The August issue of Vanity Fair will be available in New York and L.A. on Thursday, June 30, and nationally and on the iPad on Tuesday, July 5.

Shia Labeouf admits to hooking up with Megan Fox – WHILE she was with Brian Austin Green!

Shia LaBeouf appears on the August cover of DETAILS magazine in a photo shoot with Matthias Vriens-McGrath. LaBeouf has thrown as many punches as he has parties, he has a rap sheet as long as his filmography, and when he’s not pissing off studio heads, he’s messing around with another guy’s girlfriend. But the 25-year-old Transformers star might also be the most honest man in Hollywood.  He lives by a code built on fierce integrity, recoils from material possessions, cherishes poetry and art, and despises all things phony.  More than meets the eye?  Damn right.
On getting into fights:

LaBeouf wishes he could handle such situations with more finesse. But then again, he doesn’t. “I would like to be George Clooney– diplomatic,” the 25-year-old star concedes. “I just don’t have the wherewithal yet or the inner serenity. My bullsh*t meter is tuned very sensitive. The minute it starts kicking up, I get back to truth, and sometimes that involves, you know, ‘I don’t want to take a picture.’ And if that’s the case, am I an a**hole for being honest? Or am I an a**hole for being dishonest, smiling in your picture and I fu**ing hate being there? Which one is worse? These are the questions I ask myself that George Clooney doesn’t ask.”

The women in his life:

Asked if he hooked up with Megan Fox, LaBeouf nods affirmatively. “Look, you’re on the set for six months, with someone who’s rooting to be attracted to you, and you’re rooting to be attracted to them,” he explains. “I never understood the separation of work and life in that situation. But the time I spent with Megan was our own thing, and I think you can see the chemistry onscreen.” When I inquire about Fox’s status at the time with her longtime boyfriend, Brian Austin Green, LaBeouf replies, “I don’t know, man. I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know . . .”—repeating the phrase exactly 12 times in various intonations, as if trying to get it just right. Finally, he says, “It was what it was.”

On his one date with Hillary Duff:

“probably the worst date either of us have ever had”

On “philandering around” with former co-star Isabel Lucas:

“It was sort of disastrous,” LaBeouf says. “Neither one of us, I think, were in love. Just sort of experimenting or whatever.”

On Carey Mulligan:

“I still love her,” he says. “I think she’s a fu**ing awesome person and an incredible actress. We’re still pals. I wouldn’t take any of it back, and I don’t think she would either. It just ran its course.”

Past movies:

On thinking it was Oliver Stone’s sentimentality that got in the way of Wall Street 2’s success: “He’s trying to play nice. But for a movie like Wall Street that had so much bite the first time around to come out without fangs and preach a message of hope wasn’t what people were looking for.”

Reactions to Shia giving a lukewarm review to Indian Jones and the Crystal Skull,

“When you drop the ball, you drop the ball,” he said at the time: “I got lambasted for that, and understandably so,” Shia says, smiling. “Because you can’t be an actor and be honest—that’s crazy!” Although LaBeouf tells DETAILS that Harrison Ford privately applauded his outspokenness, Ford recalls the conversation differently. “I think I told him he was a f**king idiot,” the famously reticent star says. “As an actor, I think it’s my obligation to support the film without making a complete ass of myself. Shia is ambitious, attentive, and talented—and he’s learning how to deal with a situation which is very unique and difficult.”

TRAILER TIME: Christina Ricci in ‘Bucky Larson’

Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star is a new comedy starring Nick Swardson (never heard of him), Christina Ricci, Don Johnson, and Stephen Dorff. Bucky (Swardson) is a small town grocery bagger, going nowhere in life – until he discovers that his conservative parents were once adult film stars! Armed with the belief that he has found his destiny, Bucky packs up and heads out to LA, hoping to follow in his parents’ footsteps.

It looks like it could be funny, but the preview didn’t necessarily make me laugh. The teeth are a BIT much.

I’d be surprised if this wasn’t a straight-to-DVD movie.

Maybe Christina Ricci owed someone a personal favor?
