Ashley Hebert was NOT my favorite bachelorette when she appeared on the last season of ‘The Bachelor’. When Brad Womack sent her packing, I was a little relieved, because I find her incredibly annoying. Maybe I’m a sour ol’ lady, but I find her cackle laugh super annoying, and the bubbly energy a bit TOO MUCH. Fast forward to the ‘After the Rose’ ceremony where we learn Ashley will be the new ‘Bachelorette’ and I give out a loud – OH MAN!!!
For some sick reason I have this condition that forces me to watch every season of ‘The Bachelor’ and ‘The Bachelorette’ so I’m unable to control myself. I have to subject myself to the show – whether I’m enjoying it or not. (Okay, I’m usually enjoying it. I’m sick, I tell you.)
So I sit down last night and watch the premiere of ‘The Bachelorette’ and I find Ashley as incredibly annoying as I remember her. Maybe MORE annoying if that’s possible. Then at the end – they show what to expect in the season to come – and I see I’m in for a full season of B.S.! What’s this crap with Bentley? Goes to show ABC is all about the show – and not about the love………… yes, I said it.
Anyway, Life & Style did some article about her “transformation”. The only transformation I see are bad hair extensions, but whatev:
After the tragic death of her ex-boyfriend and dealing with heartbreak on the last season of The Bachelor, Ashley Hebert underwent a transformation to prepare for her stint as the new Bachelorette. Now, for the first time Ashley opens up about triumphing over tragedy and heartbreak. “I knew I had to change,” she confesses to Life & Style in an exclusive interview. “I said to myself, ‘If I keep acting so protectively, I’ll never allow myself to fall in love.’”
Ashley’s fear of rejection and terror of losing a loved one dovetailed right before she went on The Bachelor. The man she once thought was her true love, Joe Olszewski, died tragically just weeks before Ashley began filming. “He was so very dear to my heart, and his passing took a toll on me,” she says, tears welling up in her eyes.
Joe’s death rattled the 26 year old she admits now, but she put on a brave face while trying to let Brad into her heart. “I still struggle with Joe’s passing, but it also made me realize life is so short,” she affirms today. “When you find someone you love, tell him!” Ashley’s certainly ready to open her heart for the right guy — it’s been nearly four years since her last boyfriend.
“Everything I’ve been through in life, including the passing of my ex-boyfriend, has brought me here,” Ashley says. Whatever happens this season, she promises, “it’ll be honest and from my heart. You can trust that.”
PS: I know you know I’m right.

Kim Kardashian’s engagement news isn’t half as shocking the gargantuan size of her new engagement ring!
The ring given to her by fiance Kris Humphries is worth approximately half of what her Beverly Hills mansion cost her. Sources tell TMZ the ring cost $2 million dollars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The ring — designed by Lorraine Schwartz — features a 16.5 carat emerald cut center stone flanked by two 2-carat trapezoids … for a grand total of 20.5 carats.
We’re told the stones are all “the highest clarity and color.”
What do you think of dropping $2 million on a diamond ring? Is it tacky – or sweet?

It’s official! Anna Kournikova has signed on to join ‘The Biggest Loser’ next season! Three current trainers on the show, however, will not be back for season 12.
Producers have confirmed that the 29-year-old tennis star will join the show as a celebrity trainer. Current trainers Jillian Michaels, Brett Hoebel and Cara Castronuova will NOT be returning.
Exec. producer Todd Lubin tells New York Magazine the decision to hire Anna was all part of an effort to reboot the show for it’s 12th season.
We’re “getting slightly away from just the tape measure, and getting into overall well being and health. That’s where Loser needs to go” explains Lubin.
He continues … “She grew up with very little in Moscow, pounding tennis balls every day when she was 5. That’s the drive she’s bringing to the show.”
What do you think about this new lineup? Will you miss the old trainers?

The new issue of Rolling Stone features an in-depth cover story of Lady Gaga by writer Brian Hiatt, who was given intimate, fly-on-the wall access to the pop superstar as she played the final dates of her Monster Ball Tour and put the finishing touches on her new album Born This Way. “When I am not onstage I feel dead,” she says. “Whether that is healthy or not to you, or healthy or not to anyone, or a doctor, is really of no concern to me. I don’t feel alive unless I’m performing, and that’s just the way I was born.”
Other highlights:
On first finding fame:
“Being myself in public was very difficult. I was being poked and probed and people would actually touch me and touch my clothes and be like, ‘What the fuck is that,’ just so awful. It was like I was being bullied by music lovers, because they couldn’t possibly believe that I was genuine.”
On her fans:
“We have this umbilical cord that I don’t want to cut, ever. I don’t feel that they suck me dry. It would be so mean, wouldn’t it, to say, ‘For the next month, I’m going to cut myself off from my fans so I can be a person.’ What does that mean? They are part of my person, they are so much of my person. They’re at least 50 percent, if not more.”
On her message to critics who say her main goal is to attract attention:
“Is it that you believe that I am attention-seeking or shock for shock’s sake, or is it just that it’s been a long time since someone has embraced the art form the way that I have? Perhaps it’s been a couple of decades since there’s been an artist that’s been as vocal about culture, religion, human rights, politics. I’m so passionate about what I do, every bass line, every EQ. Why is it that you don’t want more from the artist, why is it that you expect so little, so when I give and give, you assume it’s narcissistic?”
