According to TMZ, Nicki Minaj has signed on to open for Britney Spears during her new tour.

The deal was signed several days ago, and Britney couldn’t be happier.

Apparently everyone is relieved that Enrique Iglesias is out. His “ego” couldn’t handle opening for Britney.

Minaj, who is on tour with Lil Wayne until the end of the month, currently has two singles on the Billboard Top 100 — “Moment 4 Life” and “Did It On’em”

Everyone connected with the concert series thinks Nicki will create even more heat for the tour, which kicks off on June 17 in Sacramento, CA.

The video, is set to be a mock movie trailer for ‘The Next Pele’ . “In the life of every champion / There comes a moment of truth / Heroes will rise / Stars will fall.”

Last week, the teen star played soccer with the FC Barcelona soccer team at their training complex in Spain. “Sorry i have been away but been playing alot of futbol and shows…and just seeing everything,” he tweeted. “I LOVE SPAIN!”

Black Eyed Peas singer, Fergie, is in no rush to return to the studio. The singer tells Access Hollywood that though she looks forward to her sophmore album and touring the world, she wants to enjoy time with her husband, Josh Duhamel.

“I’ve got a lot on my plate and this year is more about simplifying and really paying attention to the projects that I have on my plate and spending some time with the hubby, you know?”

In 2009, she told the Daily Mail (while touring with the Black Eyed Peas):

“Am I getting broody? Oh, definitely! But I want to finish this tour first before I start a family.”

So how does she spend her free time?:

“Cleaning out my closet. That’s been a big thing this year–huge for me–purging and splurging… I finally am at the place where I’m letting it go. I’m cleaning things out and I’m starting to make more purchases for myself.”

The iconic actress went off during an interview with the Daily Mail yesterday, saying that she is irritated with certain celebrities over-the-top lifestyles and how they allow their well-directed careers to spin out of control.
