Several reports online today report that Catherine Zeta Jones has checked herself into Silver Hill Hospital near New Canaan, Connecticut (pictured below).

With her husband, Michael Douglas, now cancer free, the ‘Zorro’ actress checked herself into the mental health facility on April 6th for undisclosed reasons.

Sources say Catherine’s problems came around the same time as it was confirmed the actress quit as a patron of a South Wales film festival amid being criticized by visitors.

The Hollywood star’s decision to disassociate herself from the Swansea Bay Film Festival follows the resignation of actor Michael Sheen.

He resigned as vice president of the festival last month.

Festival organizers declined to comment on Zeta Jones’s withdrawal of her patronage.

Unhappiness with the event surfaced after one festival-goer, American filmmaker Steve Rosen, made a documentary about the festival, describing it as “unquestionably the worst event of its kind.”

Zeta Jones’s American representation has now announced that the Swansea-born actress is no longer associated with the festival, and her image has been removed from their website. More at the source

Catherine Zeta-Jones, who has been by husband Michael Douglas’s side during his cancer fight, has sought mental health treatment for herself, her rep says.

“After dealing with the stress of the past year, Catherine made the decision to check in to a mental health facility for a brief stay to treat her Bipolar II Disorder,” the rep says in a statement. “She’s feeling great and looking forward to starting work this week this week on her two upcoming films.”

The teenie-tiny Hayden Paneittiere has been dating boxer Wladimir Klitschko for about two years. At 5’1″ – the ‘Heroes’ actress gets asked all the time how she manages to have sex with her 6’6″ boyfriend. While the thought honestly never entered my head, now it has – and I can’t get the visual out of my head.

In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres that aired today, the Scream 4 star revealed that people actually come up to her to ask how the 5-foot-1 actress and her 6-foot-6 boxer beau, Wladimir Klitschko, um…you know.

“He is quite a bit bigger than me,” Hayden said, when Ellen commented on the height differential. “I get the prudest people [to] come up to me, and they’re like,” she said, lowering her voice to a whisper, “‘Does it work?’”

“Yeah, it works. We find a way,” the 21-year-old actress said.

To which Ellen replied, “I know what you’re talking about and I’m in shock.”

“Where there’s a will, there’s a way!” Hayden insisted.

“People ask you that?” Ellen said, still apparently rather shocked.

“They do!” the one-time Heroes hero said. “And they’re very conservative people most of the time. They just have to know. Like have to know, ‘I just have to ask you this question!’”

Ellen called such questions “crazy and rude,” but Hayden replied with a wave of her hand, “I don’t mind it. I find it amusing.”

“Really?” Ellen wondered. “Well then, how does it work?”

I know this may be hard for you to believe, but Gwyneth Patlrow is not perfect. The 38-year-old actress has two children with husband Chris Martin. She considers herself a “perfectionist”, but claims she’s a normal mother like anyone else.

She said: “One of my most negative qualities is the perfectionism that I have, and I think that I unconsciously project that because it comes from self-doubt and insecurity and that’s the ironic part.

“I’m so deeply flawed. I’m just a normal mother with the same struggles as any other mother who’s trying to do everything at once and trying to be a wife and maintain a relationship.

“There’s absolutely nothing perfect about my life, but I just try hard.”

Does Gwyneth still follow her insanely strict macrobiotic diet (which focuses on grains and vegetables)?

She has now relaxed and admits her old eating habits now seem “alien” to her.

She added: “I haven’t been macrobiotic in seven years, so it seems sort of foreign at this point. Although, a lot of the principles, like trying to eat whole foods and homemade foods and local foods and seasonal foods, that’s still very much a part of the way I think about food.”

Gwyneth is releasing her own cookbook, entitled ‘My Father’s Daughter’, which is inspired by the meals she enjoyed with her late father Bruce Paltrow and she promises the recipes are ideal for family life.

She said in an interview with the USA Today newspaper: “It’s American family food; it’s very accessible and easy to make. It’s mostly on the healthier side, although there are definitely some guilty pleasures in there.”

And now that the actress and Penn, 50, share the same roof after months of furtive sightings at hotspots in Hollywood, Mexico and beyond, “they just stay home” whenever they can.

Among their fave homebody activities? Eating in and hanging out with Penn’s kids with ex-wife Robin Wright, who are mere years younger than Johansson: daughter Dylan, 20, and son Hopper, 17.
