Amy Smart is engaged to HGTV’s Carter Oosterhouse, she told Us Weekly on Thursday.

Calling Oosterhouse her “fiance,” Smart told Us the engagement is “very new” and “very exciting.”

The stars met by chance at a green-charity event in November 2010. An insider told Us: “He’s an eco-carpenter; Amy drives a hybrid and is the greenest girl I know. They are perfect for each other.” The source added: “Here are two wholesome, kind, sweet Midwestern types. Neither has sold out and gone Hollywood.”

Another source told Us about Oosterhouse’s proposal: “It happened four days ago. He proposed in L.A. It was a very big surprise but she is thrilled and is very excited. They are a good pair and very in sync with each other.”

Jane Krakowski and her fiance Robert Godley welcomed a son named Bennett last Wednesday in NYC, her rep confirms exclusively to Us Weekly.

The happy parents tell Us in a statement: “Jane Krakowski and Robert Godley are thrilled to announce the arrival of their baby boy, Bennett Robert Godley, born Wednesday, April 13, in New York. Bennett, the first child for both Jane and Robert, weighed 7 lbs 12 ounces and is sporting blonde hair just like his mom!”

“Bennett is an amazing, healthy sweet boy and we are both just crazy in love with him,” Krakowski tells Us.

When photos surfaced of separated Courteney Cox gallivanting on the beach with Cougar Town co-star Josh Hopkins, rumors buzzed that the pair were dating, but they claim that’s not the case at all. People even tried to assume she and Brian Van Holt were secretly together, but Courteney has spoken out to set the record straight:

“I don’t think that [Josh and Brian] were quite used to it. For sure, they weren’t used to it! And I’m kind of so used to hearing about my dating, I don’t care.”

Josh says:

“It’s really been very easy to laugh off. She’s been in the limelight for so long she doesn’t think twice about it. She does not live her life in fear of what people might say.”

While Brian states:

“Oh, you just laugh it off, I guess,” he said. “Don’t take it seriously and don’t listen.”

Castmates are reportedly having a bit of fun at their expense however, teasing them about the media’s romance reports. It’s said that they’ve even taken bets on set to see who’ll be next with their name in the headlines.

At least their having fun with it.

We all watched on MTV’s Jersey Shore as Jenni ‘JWOWW’ Farley‘s then boyfriend Tom Lippolis dumped her on national television, and allegedly trashed her home and left her dogs uncared for. We also watched as JWoww met a new beau, who she has been with ever since, and has recently announced she wants to have children with.

That probably rubbed ex-boyfriend Tom the wrong way, because he’s come out of the forest to claim that Jenni once stabbed him in the arm during an argument, resulting in 37 stitches.

Tom tells Star magazine the altercation took place after Jenni was upset over him posing for a picture with another woman:

“Jenni put a kitchen knife through my entire arm. I thought she was going to kill me.”

Tom also once acted as JWoww’s manager and I’m sure is missing out on the money he was once getting working for the reality star.

He never reported the incident to police.

Jenni has yet to make a comment about the allegations.

Yesterday, April 20, during a radio interview in New York, mogul and hubbie to Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon, decided it was a good idea to  broadcast the couple’s home phone number for the world, resulting in an onslaught of telephone calls.

One fan was able to get through, and even got to talk to mommy-to-be Mariah!

He later tweeted:

“Home phone numbers are just like Twitter anyway. I use this more than I use my home phone. So what’s the big deal?

“Think my wife will be mad at me? Lol (laugh out loud)… I don’t care. I’m the man!!”

“My wife is going to kill me over this … Just gave out my home phone number on air and my pregnant wife picked up the line oops!”

“Sometimes I get a little too carried away on the radio…

“Thanks to my amazing wife for being a good sport and allowing me to make good radio. Mariah Carey you are the best!”

He’s going to be doing some kissing up for a while!

Funny lady and mommy-again-to-be Tina Fey recently had an interview for GQ‘s May 2011 issue to talk about why “blond” is out and “yellow” is in.

She explains that in a attempt to keep her brunette daughter from believing “that blond hair is somehow better,” she refers to blondies as “yellow.”

“Let’s talk about the hair. Why do I call it ‘yellow’ hair and not ‘blond’ hair? Because I’m pretty sure everybody calls my hair ‘brown,”‘ Fey writes. “When I read fairy tales to my daughter, I always change the word ‘blond’ to ‘yellow,’ because I don’t want her to think that blond hair is somehow better.”

GQ writer Dan Fierman questions Tina about her ideals, asking:

Dan: “My son’s blond. Is he superior, or do you have to be a girl for that magic to happen?”

Tina: “Oh, it still carries some weight. I think yeah. I wouldn’t even bother with him — he’ll be fine. What color are his eyes?”

Dan: “Blue.”

Tina: “Don’t even teach him to read,” she joked.
