Today’s the day! Lindsay is back in court!

Lindsay Lohan is back before the judge today for her felony grand theft case. Several sources claim Lindsay will get the charges knocked down to a misdemeanor.

“Judge Sautner has indicated to the DA and Lindsay’s attorney that there is a very good chance that at the conclusion of the preliminary hearing she will reduce the charge from a felony to a misdemeanor,” a source tells RadarOnline.com.

LiLo had recently rejected a plea bargain involving jail time and three years’ probation for allegedly snatching a $2,500 necklace in January, preferring a trial. Now, according to Radar’s source, she’s elated at the possibility of only being hit with a misdemeanor: “When Lindsay heard this news, the possibility that the charge could be reduced, she was practically doing cartwheels.”
The felony charge could involve up to three years in state prison, versus a misdemeanor charge involving up to one year in county jail.

“Lindsay’s fate rests in Judge Sautner’s hands, and the judge could decide not to reduce the charge in the end, but just the fact that she is considering it gives Lindsay hope,” Radar’s source says.

TMZ is updating the case LIVE!

Fergie promotes her 2011 shoe line at Macy’s in New York City

Fergie showed up at Macy’s yesterday in New York City to promote her 2011 shoe collection.

The 36-year-old Black Eyed Peas singer wore her own six-inch stilettos, part of the collection.

Fergie is on break from singing duties until the band hits the road in late May.

Her husband, actor Josh Duhamel, recently denied reports that he had asked her to slow down her work schedule.

Josh told E! Online: ‘She’s not doing it because of me.

‘And I mean, we do want to take some time and I’m excited to have more time with her, but we always consider the other person when we’re doing something and make sure we’re scheduling enough time to be together.

‘That’s the only way to make it work.’

Fergie was expected to work on the highly-anticipated follow up to her hit album, 2006’s The Duchess, but has put another solo album on hold.

Duhamel said: ‘She wants a little time. They’ve been working her like a rented mule for eight years. She wants a little time off.’

But the star seems to be enjoying her new passion for designing shoes and the pint-sized singer is regularly seen in sky-high heels to boost her tiny frame.

Jim Carrey joins ‘The Office’!

Jim Carrey has signed on alongside many other guest actors to star in the 50-minute finale of ‘The Office’.

With star Steve Carell just one episode away from leaving the show after seven long, gloriously awkward seasons, the show’s producers have worked to create a massive mystery and induce international intrigue over who will replace him as the boss at the fictional regional paper company. Will Ferrell has temporarily taken over, under the guise of DeAngelo Vickers, but the longterm replacement is still up in the air.

It was announced in March that Will Arnett and series creator Ricky Gervais would guest star in the finale, while earlier in April Ray Romano, James Spader and Catherine Tate were added to the episode. All five have been teased as potential longterm hires, though Arnett, Gervais and Romano, because of previous commitments, are unlikely to be the choice. Ferrell, who was supposed to appear in the season finale, will now no longer do so.

With Carrey being added as a late entrant, the future of Dunder Mifflin gets even murkier. Executive producer Paul Lieberstein, who also plays Toby on the show, recently revealed that current employees will make a play for the job, though it doesn’t seem there’s much of a chance that they’ll be hiring from within.

In a new interview with HitFix.com, series star John Krasinski spoke about the excitement of the change.

“The show sans-Steve it’s a whole new show so we’re actually really excited,” he said. “The last two episodes this year are without Steve and without Will and they were awesome. They were really, really fun and as much as we will miss Steve for sure it’s kind of great to pick up this show in a whole different way. It’s really fun.”

Interestingly, he also said he didn’t know who Carell’s replacement would be, and that there may not be a replacement so much as there is “a shift” in the show. Given that they’ve already filmed the final two episodes, Krasinski was either showing off his acting skills, or there is truly a surprise in store.

Can’t wait! It’s going to be a great episode!

Nicole Scherzinger on the set of her new music video for her song “Right There”

The former Pussycat Doll was singing solo while shooting the video for “Right There” downtown on Thursday — where she showed off her tight abs in a crop top and worked some wild, Willow Smith-approved hair.

In another outfit, Scherzinger had her legs on display in a fringe number.

The song will be the first US single off Nicole’s album “Killer Love.”

Mel Gibson finally opens up about infamous tapes: “I don’t care if I don’t act anymore”

Mel Gibson has finally broken his silence over the shocking audio tapes that leaked online last year, saying “The whole experience has been most unfortunate.”

Mel gave the extensive interview to deadlinehollywood.com.

On whether or not he’s a racist, or sexist:

I’ve never treated anyone badly or in a discriminatory way based on their gender, race, religion or sexuality — period. I don’t blame some people for thinking that though, from the garbage they heard on those leaked tapes, which have been edited.  You have to put it all in the proper context of being in an irrationally, heated discussion at the height of a breakdown, trying to get out of a really unhealthy relationship. It’s one terribly, awful moment in time, said to one person, in the span of one day and doesn’t represent what I truly believe or how I’ve treated people my entire life.

Does he worry audiences won’t want to watch him on the big screen again?

I don’t care if I don’t act anymore.  I could easily not act again. It’s not a problem. I’m going to do something now because I want to do it and because it’s fun. I’ve already pulled another job and it’s going to be fun. I don’t know if it’s going to get off the ground, but I’m going to go work for [Best Picture Oscar winner Braveheart's screenwriter] Randy Wallace again. He’s got this script and he’s had it for years. He wrote some book and he’s adapted it to a script. And it’s almost like Alexander Dumas — like that swashbuckler kind of stuff.

Where were you when the tapes broke?

I don’t remember a bunch. What came first? The chicken or the egg. The Beaver was completed. We’d finished shooting, I think.

On his constant legal battle with ex, Oksana Grigorieva.

Everybody has a dog in the fight but me, oddly enough. I haven’t got a lawsuit out on anyone because I think it’s extremely… You have to think about your children. That’s all there is to it. I can’t really discuss this. There are a lot of delicate and sensitive issues and I don’t want to be the cause of grief to any of my children or to friends or family or associates on either side because it’s a matter that should be dealt with. It’s important to me that it’s dealt with correctly and it’s important that I maintain my integrity through this for the sake of those I love. So speaking about it is just not on and apart from anything else, I’m prohibited by court order. Now, the system is flawed as we know, but you’ve got to ride with that. I think that it will all eventually come out in the wash and I’m depending on that. I have a lot of faith in that. Even though any organization, anybody, will always be flawed or not perfect in many ways. But at the end of the day, they’re trying to work in a fashion that achieves some kind of justice. I’m going to hook my hitch onto that and follow that through. Perhaps some time I will go on and comment in a more full way. But even if the judge hadn’t put some kind of court order on me, I think I’d stay mum on a lot of these things just out of consideration for Lucia and my other children and my grandchildren and friends and family. It doesn’t do any good. Maybe, when this is all over and hopefully, justice is achieved. Maybe I could say something. But I’d never want to leave anything lying around that would… a lot of damage has been done. I don’t want to add to it.

I was allowed to end the case and still maintain my innocence. It’s called a West plea and it’s not something that prosecutors normally allow. But in my case, the prosecutors and the judge agreed that it was the right thing to do. I could have continued to fight this for years and it probably would have come out fine. But I ended it for my children and my family. This was going to be such a circus. You don’t drag other people in your life through this sewer needlessly, so I’ll take the hit and move on.

SO MUCH MORE AFTER THE JUMP! (more…)
