Mad Men star January Jones has said she’ll never play Grace Kelly in a movie, because she’s convinced it would destroy her career.
The actress has frequently been compared to the legendary Hollywood beauty but she’s determined never to step into her shoes for a film role, because Kelly is too well known to movie fans.
Jones tells Britain’s The Times, “I’ve been offered a couple of TV movies playing Grace Kelly and there was no way I would touch them with a seven foot pole. It would be career suicide. No one would watch them and come away saying anything other than, ‘She’s so not Grace Kelly.’
“Cate Blanchett got it right as Katharine Hepburn, but generally it doesn’t matter how much you look like that person or how good an actor you are, it’s impossible.”
Demi Lovato is speaking out for the first time since entering rehab to deal emotional and physical issues. (It was rumored she was dealing with eating disorders and cutting.)
She calls her struggle the “darkest time” of her life, and thanks her fans for their support.
Back in October, the actress and singer shocked fans by dropping out of her world tour with the Jonas Brothers.
Lovato left rehab in January, but this is the first time she’s spoken publicly. In a video message posted on her Facebook.com page, she says, “I wanted to let you know that I am back and home… I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for the support you guys have given me along the way… Your support is what got me through this…
“The journey that I’ve been on has been very difficult over the past few months. I was dealing with issues that I know not only girls just my age but of all ages are dealing with.
“I can’t tell you how much light you guys brought into my life in probably the darkest time of my life. Without you guys, I wouldn’t be here today.”
Model Gisele Bendchen attends the first night of Rio de Janeiro’s samba school parades, which went on until sunrise Monday.
Also with Gisele was her husband, football player Tom Brady, kissing and hugging for all to see.
Bundchen went to the Marques de Sapucai Sambadrome to parade on a float of the Vila Isabel samba school, which in the wee hours staged a scene about the myths and legends of hair, in which the model showed off her silky mane.
Pamela Anderson, actors Jude Law model Gisele Bendchen attended the first night of Rio de Janeiro’s samba school parades, which went on until sunrise Monday.
Anderson, one of the stars of the “Baywatch” series, was accompanied by boyfriend Jonathan Roses, according to the brewery that invited her, and said she loved the Carnival show, of which she took a number of photos.
So I’m sure Jude is being paid to make an appearance at Carnival in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil… why else would he wear that shirt! The blonde is Brazilian TV host Hebe Carmengo.
Bradley Cooper makes his way out of the Trump Soho Hotel in New York City over the weekend. Bradley has been busy with recent projects such as “Limitless” due to hit theaters later this month, The Hangover II and other projects.
As for rumors that Charlie Sheen would be making a cameo in The Hangover II, Bradley quickly shoots them down.
“Unless they have a time machine and we can go back to Bangkok, my understanding is that we have already filmed the movie,” Cooper, 36, told PEOPLE at Saturday’s New York press conference for another film of his, Limitless.
In a way, the Sheen rumors are understandable, given director Todd Philips’s eagerness to line up unusual cameos. He originally went after Mel Gibson (that didn’t work out) and then got Bill Clinton to film a scene.
But Sheen was never on the radar, says Cooper. “It’s an interesting thing to start spreading,” he says of the rumor. “You would have to be a part of the Starship Enterprise in order to make that happen.”
