Billy Ray Cyrus Admits He Could Have Been a Better Father

In a recent interview, singer/actor Billy Ray Cyrus revealed that he could have been a better father to daughter and teen sensation Miley Cyrus.

He appeared on Good Morning America yesterday and ate words that he said back in December 2010 when he claimed that Hannah Montana destroyed his family.

“I love Hannah Montana. I love Disney. I wouldn’t change anything.[...]What I meant to say, and what I hope I said was … fame can be a dangerous animal and it’s a delicate thing. You know, when you get in this industry and … you strike so hard for that moment. But, fame is dangerous. Miley has a great heart. She’s very intelligent. She will make good choices and she knows right from wrong.”

He also says that he wants to make things right with his family and be a friend to his children.

“I did kind of approach being a dad as a friend. I was a great playmate. I mean, for teaching [my children] how to camp and build fires and ride motorcycles and four-wheelers, and horses, and all those fun kind of things. I was really good at that. As far as sitting down and doing algebra and science, the homework, I wasn’t very good at that. So I look back on it and think, ‘You know what? Maybe, no doubt, I could have been a better dad.’[...]I still want to be Miley’s friend.”

He goes on to say that he loves her “more than life itself.”

David Arquette & Courteney Cox: Each Others Biggest Fans

Though the two have parted ways, parents David Arquette and Courteney Cox refuse to get involved in the high profile, bitter break-ups that Hollywood is known for. Not only are they getting along for the sake of their 6-year-old daughter Coco, but the two also have been doing the Scream 4 promotional tour together for the upcoming flick.

“The great thing is that we really love each other and that we’re really amazing parents together, very supportive — I’m her biggest fan and she’s my biggest fan. You know, that’s what it’s all about really.”

“We’re separated, we’re working on ourselves and our relationship, and sort of figuring out what we want. You know, life’s complicated and people go through changes. And I’ve been reading a lot of things about myself, reading books that talk about feelings and changes, and she’s been working on herself a lot too.”

“I really love acting with Courteney. I always have fun. It’s always, you know, we’re really loose and it’s easy to feel real, like they’re real moments. That’s my favorite part about acting, when you connect with something where it feels like, you know, you can actually believe it inside.”

Courteney says:

“It was very easy, we really respect each other and we help each other. I mean, I respect his opinion so much that I’m always asking him ‘What do you think?’ I think it’s very easy, it’s very, very easy to work with him.”

You know what? I’m really rootign for these two. He may be a little kooky at times but I think that what she likes about him…in moderation. While they work on their relationship, you can catch Scream 4 in theaters April 15.

Hate-Filled Church Planning to Picket Liz Taylor’s Funeral

The Westboro Baptist Church, infamously known for picketing the funerals of fallen soldiers, homosexuals, victims of violence, and at times a combination of the three, have announced they plan on protesting legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor‘s funeral.

Margie Phelps, a member of the church that is mostly comprised of the Phelps family, tweeted:

“No RIP Elizabeth Taylor who spent her life in adultery and enabling proud fags. They cuss her in hell today. #Westboro will picket funeral!”

Ms. Taylor was an avid AIDS advocate, raising almost $100 million through the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation since 1985.

[Video] Willow Smith Will Get Revenge on Justin Bieber

The other day, Justin Bieber pranked tourmate and friend Willow Smith by bursting on stage while she was performing “Whip My Hair” in Manchester, England, and banging an a cowbell. Brother Jaden Smith also made a special appearance by whipping his hair alongside his sister on stage!

Once off stage, she reportedly said:

“They got me, but it is not over; revenge is sweet and is served on a cold dish.”

Then she tweeted:

“My big brothers Justin and Jaden pranked me on stage tonight … #payback!!!”

I think it’s hilarious that she named Justin as her brother first.

Nicki Minaj Not Joining X Factor

While rumors have been running rampant regarding Nicki Minaj joining X Factor as a judge, a source close to the rapper says that is all that it is — a rumor.

“There’s nothing going on with [X Factor].”

Simon Cowell told reporters that the names of celebs that are reportedly in talks with the show to become judges were probably leaked to stir up interest. Other names that were floating around are Jessica Simpson and Paula Abdul, but there is still no word on whether they will participate.

Whoopi Says She Smoked Weed Before Oscar Speech

Whoopi Goldberg apparently smoked a marijuana joint before she got on stage and gave her Oscar speech when she won back in 1991 for Best Supporting Actress in Ghost.

While doing a voice-over session for the movie The Pagemaster back in 1992, Whoopi admits she was high as a kite while giving her speech.

She called her joint “wonderful” and said she was so high during the show, she had to coach herself on stage. Whoopi claims she got a call from her mother afterwards, who said she knew her daughter was high because of her “glistening eyes.” She also added:

“Just because I do it doesn’t mean you should do it.”
