The couple have only been married for two months, and Nicole Richie describes married life as “magical”.

Nicole has decided to take husband Joel Madden’s last name, according to PEOPLE.

“I just went to Ireland, and it was really the first time I was called Mrs. Madden,” she says. “The people were asking me if my last name is Madden, and I was like, ‘Yeah, my last name is Madden now.’ And they were like, ‘You’re one of us!’ And I was like, “Oh, hell yeah I am.’ It’s awesome to be known as Mrs. Madden. It’s music to my ears.”

Nicole is currently in New York, where she’ll premiere her highly anticipated collection House of Harlow 1960 at Fashion Week. She was pictured stepping out last night in NYC.

She tells Vogue that Elton John pronounced ‘Born This Way’ the “gayest song” he had ever heard. “I wrote it in ten fucking minutes,” she says, “and it is a completely magical message song. And after I wrote it, the gates just opened, and the songs kept coming. It was like an immaculate conception.” She plays a few more songs and mentions a few others—with tantalizing titles like “Hair,” “Bad Kids,” and “Government Hooker.” The second single to be released is called “Judas” and is, typically, a mash-up: The melody sounds like it was written for the Ronettes, but it is set to a sledgehammering dance beat and is about falling in love with backstabbing men of the biblical variety. Another song, “Americano,” which she describes as like “a big mariachi techno-house record, where I am singing about immigration law and gay marriage and all sorts of things that have to do with disenfranchised communities in America,” has a resounding Piafesque chorus. Turns out it was intentional. “It sounds like a pop record, but when I sing it, I see Edith Piaf in a spotlight with an old microphone.” (Piaf is an apt reference—they both evince a similar brand of heroic vulnerability.) But, she says, “there are some very rock-’n’-roll moments on the album, too: There’s a Bruce Springsteen vibe, there’s a Guns N’ Roses moment. It’s the anthemic nature of the melodies and the choruses.” She feels it’s different from—and better than—anything she’s done before. “It is much more vocally up to par with what I’ve always been capable of. It’s more electronic, but I have married a very theatrical vocal to it. It’s like a giant musical-opus theater piece.”

Yesterday it was reported that Ashlee Simpson had filed for divorce. While sources told PEOPLE “It’s very amicable. They’re on very friendly terms and speaking – it’s fine,” looks like this may not actually be the case.

TMZ is reporting that Pete Wentz does not want to end his marriage, and Ashlee is the one who wants to leave. Wentz claims he’s “getting divorced against his will”, and he tried to talk her out of it. Despite Pete’s pleas, Ashlee moved ahead with the divorce.

So sad!

Writing on her blog, the Glee star said that she understands the interest fans take in her life but that it has no bearing on her work as an actress.

“I have been getting a lot of questions about things that I don’t feel the need to explain or talk about,” she wrote.

“Perhaps some of you would rather hear about projects I am working on and so proud to be a part of, not whether or not I’m swapping spit with some guy? Or if I’m painting my house, or washing the car, or having septuplits (sic) with a guy I met in Naples named Luciano,” she continued.

“If you want a good story, let’s at least make it really rich! Totally understand if there is interest, but I find I am more interesting on screen. Once there, I’m able to live many lives, and travel the world in each new character.”

Agron was recently rumored to be engaged to boyfriend Alex Pettyfer, which she later denied.

According to TMZ, a judge has agreed to finalized their divorce today, making it possible for Kelsey Grammer to marry his new fiance, very quickly.

Three days ago, the ex-couple came to a “preliminary deal” in their divorce to end the marriage. It’s not clear how money will be split up quite yet, but Camille Grammer had been demanding $50 million, and Kelsey had offered her $30. Did he finally give in, and give her what she wanted?

The split was a very public one, through court documents, and Camille’s marriage dissolving on ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’. On the show, Camille begged Kelsey not to leave.

Vogue magazine caught up with Lady Gaga while she was performing the last concert in her Monster Ball Tour. She’s exhausted after being on tour for almost three years, without a real break. “Let’s call a spade a spade here,” she says. “I am really f***ing tired. I am at that last mile of the marathon when your fingers and your toes are numb and you can’t feel your body, and I am just going on adrenaline. But in the overarching objective of my life, I am really only at mile two. I try to keep that in mind.”
