In the March issue of Details, Christian Slater opens up about sobriety, Lindsay Lohan, and his new series on Fox. With a half decade of sobriety under his belt, the 41-year-old actor has finally put his bad-boy days behind him. The only drug he fiends for now? Nicorette gum!

On being sober and his past:

Look, I could spend a lot of time kicking the shit out of myself for the choices I made. I was dealing with alcoholism and addiction, and there was a lot to take on without much life experience. Addiction is not pretty, and you don’t fully understand it unless you’re dealing with it head-on. That’s why when I see other kids struggling, I will sometimes reach out to them—a call or an e-mail.

Really? Did you reach out to Lindsay Lohan?

Sure, of course. I appreciated the people who reached out to me. It’s a brutal position to be in. You feel alone and confused over where your life went and how you got yourself in this situation.

Amanda Seyfried is defending her man, after it was reported that boyfriend Ryan Phillippe hit on Rihanna.

Reports suggested Phillippe attempted to chat Rihanna up at a party on February 12 – and she turned down his advances – but Seyfried insists the story is false, although she won’t go so far as to suggest she’s dating the hunk.

She tells X17.com, “That Rihanna story is not true. That is so f**king not true!”

But, asked if she’s dating Phillippe, the actress added, “He’s a nice guy – we’re friends.”

To prep for her upcoming nuptials to fiance Eric Johnson, the 30-year-old singer has enlisted the help of celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson, who’s customized a routine that includes dance aerobics, ab work and strength training.

“She wants to look healthy,” Anderson tells the new issue of Us Weekly (on stands now).

After a few weeks of 75-minute, four-day-a-week workouts, “she’s seeing results,” says a pal. “She really loves it. She thinks it’s so much fun.”

Anderson, who’s also worked with Jennifer Aniston and Nicole Richie, adds that the $1 billion fashion mogul “is in the mind-set that this is a big, forever lifestyle shift.”
