While Charlie Sheen was on a press tour this weekend, CBS’ top boss man was on a quest to save Two and a Half Men. According to E!:
I just got word that Les Moonves had a nice chat with John Stamos on Saturday about replacing Sheen on the hit sitcom.
Sources exclusively tell me that Moonves approached Stamos at Jeffrey Katzenberg’s Night Before benefit at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
“They were at the bar talking and Les asked John if he’d be interested in replacing Charlie,” one source says. “It wouldn’t be to play Charlie’s character but they talked more about introducing a new character.”
There were rumors early last week that Stamos was in talks to take over for Sheen, but Stamos tweeted on Friday, “Contrary to the rumors, I am not replacing Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men. however, Martin Sheen has asked me to be his son.”
I’m told the conversation between the Moonves and Stamos lasted for about 15 minutes. It’s unclear if more formal conversations are set to take place, but a source reports that Moonves’ talk-show cohost wife Julie Chen and Paramount Pictures CEO Brad Grey piped in, too. “They were all for it,” the source said. “They were saying how they think it could definitely work.”
Reps for CBS and Stamos did not immediately comment.

Just an hour ago, Charlie Sheen went on an almost hour long rant live on TMZ. I listened to the whole interview. I find the whole thing so sad. Charlie’s obviously lost it. Rumors are he’s bipolar. He’s definitely something.
Stan Rosenfield tells TMZ … he’s resigning because “I worked with Charlie Sheen for a long time and I care about him very much, however, at this time, I’m unable to work effectively as his publicist and have respectfully resigned.”
Rosenfield resigned minutes after Sheen appeared live on TMZ this morning … where the actor insinuated Stan lied to the media on his behalf regarding the hotel trashing incident at The Plaza Hotel in NYC back in October.
Stan had issued a statement saying Charlie was hospitalized that night for an “allergic reaction.”
When Mike Walters asked Charlie about the medical explanation, CS responded, “I was asleep when that statement went out.”
Sheen added, “I respect Stan … he was doing the best he could in that moment … had I confirmed with him, I probably would have come up with something better. “
According to Charlie, “P**sy. He’s not allowed to quit, so you’re fired.”
MTV bad boy Abram Boise was arrested over the weekend, and while waiting in his jail cell, he defecated in his hands – and smeared it all over his jail cell, according to law enforcement.
Boise was arrested in Massachusetts by Lunenburg PD on two counts of defacing property and one count of indecent exposure … after cops found him urinating in public.
But apparently his bowels weren’t empty … because law enforcement sources tell us he peed on the floor of the cell, was moved to a second one, and then he pooped in his hand and smeared it all over the wall of the second cell.
Abram has appeared in such reality shows as “Road Rules: South Pacific,” “The Gauntlet,” “The Inferno,” “Battle of the Sexes 2,” “The Inferno 3” and “The Island.”
In case you give a crap, Abram is scheduled to be arraigned today.
Tonight during ABC’s ‘The Bachelor’ the official lineup for ‘Dancing With the Stars‘ will be revealed, but of course names are being leaked a bit early. According to TMZ, these are some of the contestants that will appear on the hit dancing show!
Looks like the tension between former friends Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson is still going strong. Both of the women avoided each other at all cost during the Academy Awards last night.
“It seemed like both of their arrivals were carefully staged to make sure they were never on the red carpet together,” an insider tells Pop Eater. “They both knew the other was presenting so it was no surprise that they would be at the same event, but they sure managed to keep away from one another.”
Scarlett showed up at the Oscars with her agent, Joe Machota, by her side, while Sandra, wearing blazing red, looked happy working the carpet all by herself.
Any tension between the two ladies comes from the fact that since Scarlett and her husband Ryan Reynolds filed for divorce in December, Sandra has been seen multiple times with the actor. They insist they’re just friends, and Ryan and Scarlett were even seen having lunch together in late January, fueling rumors they were getting back together.
“So much has happened to Sandra in the past 12 months since she won an Oscar that I’m sure she wanted a drama-free night on Sunday,” a friend of the actress tells me.
As last year’s winner for best actress, Sandra was obliged to present an award on Sunday. “Whether or not Scarlett would be attending had nothing to do with her decision to attend, and what she does in her private life with a man that is getting divorced is entirely up to her.”
Although, people who know Sandy best suspect the only man she’s thinking about right now is her little son, Louis.
Charlie Sheen is out for blood – as he’s talking today with anyone who will listen. He stopped by Good Morning America, The Today Show – and as I type this, he’s speaking with TMZ live.

Being interviewed from Charlie Sheen’s back yard, he said “I don’t believe in rock bottom. That’s a fishing term.”
Charlie says he’s “sober now, it’s up to me”.
Charlie claims he cured himself of crack addiction, “I’ve closed my eyes and made it so…with the power of my mind. I had to unload 22 years of fiction and just decided that I don’t need that anymore. I know my own truth. The fiction of AA. It’s a silly book written by a broken down fool who was a plagiarist. They think it’s one size fits all and it didn’t fit me. I got tired of it.”
When asked if he planned on filing a lawsuit over the “Two and a Half Men” fiasco, Sheen told ABC this morning, “Wouldn’t you? I don’t have a job. I got a whole family to support … They’re gonna put [the money] on a scale and say, ‘A little more, a little more. Add some gold! Add some gold! Bingo!’ … I’m here to collect.”
As TMZ first reported, even among all this animosity, Sheen wants to do a season 9 and even a season 10 … if they paid him $3 million an episode plus a $20 million signing bonus.
