Maybe she’s getting “clean” ahead of the release of her new single! She will soon shoot the music video for her new single, “Hold It Against Me.” I’m not a huge Britney fan – but I have to admit, I’m eagerly awaiting the video. If nothing else, she usually makes a mean video.

Rumors swirled around that her new single, “Hold It Against Me” would debut on January 7th, but Brit’s manager quickly swooped in dismissing it.

“Lot of misinformation out there regarding the release of Brits 1st single. Don’t believe everything you read,” he wrote. “Unless of course it’s an official announcement coming in January. STAY TUNED…..”

However, he did say that the single will be out this month. “That said, the single is DEFINITELY coming in January. PS- happy new years people,” he said. “Sorry guys, but never pay attention to unofficial announcements. Just trying to clarify. Please don’t ‘hold it against me.’ ”

As fans gear up for what will certainly be an epic year for pop, there are some new details about the song. The track was produced by dream team Max Martin and Dr. Luke. “And the beat that they give her is really unique compared to other artists — this infectious bass beat beneath the song,” Dastur revealed about the tune. “Plus, the hook is just amazing.”

Dr. Luke has also been on rumor control, noting that lyrics found online are not real. He tweeted, “The first word of the britney song is ‘hey.’ The 3rd word is ‘there.’ … 1st word is ‘hey’!!! the 24th word is ‘song’ please (4th word) forgive (5th).”

Regardless of when the single is released, her album – will release in March.

More importantly – how long until Taylor Swift writes a song – so we can know exactly what went wrong? Jakey’s probably shaking in his boots. Taylor’s famous for writing songs about ex-boyfriends, and not in a “Your Body is a Wonderland” kinda way.

Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal rang in 2011 solo and according to several reports, the couple have split.

“They’re over,” a source tells PEOPLE. “It ended last month.”

The pair were first spotted together at a ‘Saturday Night Live’ taping in October, but the duo had a PDA-filled weekend over Thanksgiving.

Swift and Gyllenhaal were last seen publicly together on Dec. 9. Rumors first surfaced about their alleged split after Gyllenhaal was not in attendance for Swift’s 21st birthday party a few weeks ago.

Swift, famous for penning songs about her love life, might just be writing a new song about Gyllenhaal. The singer, who dated Taylor Lautner in 2009, penned apology song ‘Back to December’ for the ‘Twilight’ hunk and reportedly wrote her latest single, ‘Dear John,’ about rumored ex John Mayer.

I’m fine with this breakup, I didn’t like it from the get-go. I felt betrayed by Jake, and I don’t know why.

I loooved ‘Dawson’s Creek‘. Makes me feel old – but many of you probably never even watched the show. It aired from ’98-’03, and Jamie boy hasn’t done a whole lot since. Sure there was ‘Varsity Blues‘ (the soundtrack was better than the movie) and ‘The Rules of Attraction‘ (never saw it) but he’ll mostly be known for Dawson’s – the same show that shot Katie Holmes to stardom.

If you haven’t seen the show – chances are you have seen his very famous gif image on message boards like ONTD.

Us Weekly is reporting that LeAnne Rimes recently underwent breast enhancement surgery, showing off her new boob job in a bikini during her Mexican beach vacation.

“She recently got a boob job,” a source told the magazine. “She’s always, always been insecure about her size. She was a small A-cup. She often talked about wanting to get implants. She’d say, “I just want a little bit so they’re proportionate to my body.’”

In a cover story this fall with Shape Magazine, Rimes talked about her growing and maturing body, though did not mention any artificial help.

“I feel like my body is changing and that I’m growing up into a woman. I probably weigh about 6 pounds more than when I shot that cover, but my body fat is the lowest it’s ever been. I’ve gained a lot of muscle, and I feel like I have more curves too. My butt–well, I’ve always had a butt–but now I definitely have a butt, which I love. I’ve taken up weight training three or four times a week, and I do a lot of squats. I’ve also been doing more cardio, even though I absolutely despise it. I try to get in a good 20 to 25 minutes before I do anything else; if I don’t do it first, it won’t happen.”
