Will Lindsay ever clean up her act? Is the following story true – and she was under the influence, even while trying to get clean? TMZ is reporting that police believe she violated her probation multiple times – and they’re out for blood.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Palm Desert Police Department officials believe Lindsay Lohan was under the influence of drugs or alcohol while at Betty Ford.

As TMZ first reported, the PD believes Lindsay committed violations of her probation — apart from the alleged December 12 battery. Sources say the cops believe Lindsay was under the influence of drugs or alcohol — which would be a violation of her probation in the Beverly Hills DUI case. And they believe she violated probation by refusing to submit to a breathalyzer.

The former Betty Ford staffer who filed the battery complaint against Lindsay — and then said she didn’t want Lindsay prosecuted — has told TMZ she believed Lindsay was under the influence of alcohol on the night of the incident.

It’s curious that Palm Desert cops are weighing in on a probation violation outside their jurisdiction.

But Shawn Chapman Holley tells TMZ, “I had numerous conversations with Betty Ford counselors and doctors and it was never suggested by anyone that she ever drank or used drugs.”

Holley adds, “Her discharge letter is totally consistent with that.”

The pair are joined by an all-star cast for the 3-D film, which will include Welsh actor Rhys Ifans as Spiderman’s adversary The Lizard.

Actor Martin Sheen will star as Parker’s Uncle Ben, while veteran actress Sally Field will appear as Parker’s Aunt May and comedian Denis Leary is playing Gwen Stacy’s father George.

Meanwhile the film’s director, Marc Webb, has praised the chemistry between Andrew and Emma, who reportedly won the role over other rumoured names including Mia Wasikowska and Dianna Agron.

‘The chemistry between Andrew and Emma was stunning and made Emma the clear choice,’ he said.

‘At the heart of the story of Peter Parker is not only the amazing Spider-Man, but also an ordinary teenager who is wondering what he has to do to get the girl.

‘Andrew and Emma will bring everything audiences expect to these roles, but also make them their own.’
The film is due for release in July 2012.

I remember the first time I met Nicole Kidman. We were at a Golden Globes party in 2005 and—typical Hollywood story—we share an agent. I remember meeting this tall, beautiful woman who was there with her mom and dad. I was completely starstruck, while she was nothing but gracious. Nicole had just seen one of my rom-coms, as they call them, and was instantly kind and complimentary. I loved her immediately. We’ve run into each other over the years, keeping in touch. But it was Adam Sandler, of all people, who brought us together in Hawaii to film the comedy Just Go With It. Now not only do I have a dear friend, I can’t see myself dancing the hula with any other gal.

On hoping and praying to find someone like husband Keith Urban:

“I remember thinking, Oh, my God, if you ever gave me a man like that, I promise I would be completely devoted for the rest of my life. Something that wild. I remembered praying after I met him that I’d meet somebody, if not him, like him.”

On family versus a career:

I was going to move to Oregon.

US Weekly has the first look at Natalie Portman’s baby bump! Here she is arriving at LAX on Tuesday. The Black Swan actress, 29, carried her dog — and revealed the first glimpse of a baby bump!

Early last week, the star confirmed that she’s pregnant and engaged to the dad, dancer/choreographer Benjamin Millipied.

“I have always kept my private life private,” Portman told Entertainment Weekly in a brief statement. “But I will say that I am indescribably happy and feel very grateful to have this experience.”

It’s the first child for Portman, who met Frenchman Millipied on the set of Black Swan, in which he has as small role as a male ballet dancer.

Word that Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift broke up leaked yesterday, and now, we know why the big split went down.

According to Us Weekly, it was Jake that both initiated the relationship (the two first appeared together in Brooklyn in October) and decided to end it. Why? Cameras, for one thing.

“He said he wasn’t feeling it anymore and was uncomfortable with all the attention they got,” and insider told the Magazine. “He also said he could feel the age difference.”

Gyllenhaal is 29, while Swift is 21.

After ending things, which happened just before the holidays, Swift and Gyllenhaal spent New Year’s Eve alone. For her part, Swift is devastated.

“Taylor is really upset,” the source continued. “We told her not to move so fast with this but she didn’t listen.”

On the plus side, at least she’s got some new material for her next album.
