‘Glee’s’ Lea Michele is the latest celebrity to stand behind PETA. Her cause? She’s raising her voice against the cruelty of horse-drawn carriages. According to PETA,

In a shocking undercover video, Lea exposes the harsh conditions that these overworked horses are subjected to—all day, every day. The native New Yorker also posed with a rescued horse for a gorgeous PETA ad to help spread the message that horses don’t belong in traffic. During their workday, these horses are forced into dangerous traffic, where they develop respiratory ailments from inhaling exhaust fumes and debilitating leg problems from pounding the hard pavement. They constantly weave between cars and are often spooked by loud noises on the streets. As a result, accidents sometimes occur in which many horses and people are seriously injured or even killed. When not working, these horses are confined to cramped stalls in which they are unable to turn around, stretch their legs, or even lie down comfortably. Don’t get taken for a ride. Join Lea and countless others in boycotting horse-drawn carriages!

“Imagine for a moment that you’re forced to do hard physical labor all day, seven days a week—whether it’s sweltering hot or freezing cold outside,” Lea says. “At the end of the day, instead of relaxing on [an] easy chair or sleeping in a comfortable bed, you are locked in a tiny closet all night long.”

Call me crazy, but really!? I love animals – but c’mon…horse drawn carriages? Forcing them into dangerous traffic? Hmmm, what’s your opinion on the matter.

Khloe Kardashian just took to her blog to talk about her and Lamar’s new show on E!.

Khloe writes:

Ok dolls, it’s official! Lamar and I will soon begin filming our very own show on E! called Khloe & Lamar! WOOOOHOOOOOOOO! How exciting is this?! It’s been an option since we got married, but we wanted to enjoy our first year in private. With Keeping Up with the Kardashians, only a very small part of our life together is shown, but with this show, we’re putting it ALL out there LOL. Rob will play a major role in this too since he lives with us. He’s basically like our son LOL. With the three of us living together, it’s honestly like a sitcom. Trust me, there will be a lot of laughs.

Lamar and I could not be more thrilled about this. It’s show time baby!!!!

Back in 2009, Courtney Love had been in a heated argument with designer Dawn Simorangkir. Dawn claimed that Courtney owed her thousands of dollars in unpaid clothes.

The dispute erupted on March 17, when Courtney took to her Twitter page and began a long string of shocking insults against Dawn.

Love’s tweets, which instantly landed in the Twitter feeds of her 40,000 or so followers (and countless others via retweets), announced that Simorangkir was a drug-pushing prostitute with a history of assault and battery who lost custody of her own child and capitalized on Love’s fame before stealing from her. “She has received a VAST amount of money from me over 40,000 dollars and I do not make people famous and get raped TOO!” Love wrote..

That particular tirade that Courtney posted on Twitter, Etsy and Myspace – is now the center of a lawsuit, the first of it’s kind. The Hollywood Reporter has more:

“There has never been anything like this case before,” says Simorangkir attorney Bryan Freedman, who will attempt to convince a Los Angeles jury that Love’s false statements destroyed his client’s fashion career, thus entitling her to potentially millions of dollars in damages.

In an age when public figures from Kanye West to Ryan Seacrest communicate influential messages to thousands — sometimes millions — of followers on social platforms, the Love case raises the question of whether celebrities, like the news media, should be liable for what happens if they intentionally put untrue and damaging statements in front of their loyal readers.

“We don’t believe there’s any defamation, and even if there were defamatory statements, there was no damage,” says James Janowitz, an attorney for Love.
A key to the case, say First Amendment lawyers, could be whether an average Twitter user would interpret Love’s vicious tweets as facts rather than merely her opinion.

“I’ll be interested to see if the court gives people posting on Twitter more latitude than other media,” says Alonzo Wickers, a defamation expert who has handled matters for such media clients as Comedy Central and TMZ. “The way Twitter is evolving, it seems to be more of a means to express opinion. I would hope courts give tweets the same latitude as they do an op-ed piece or a letter to the editor.”

Love has already given her deposition in the case. Love claims that she was only repeating in her tweets, things that Simorangkir said herself.

Love will reportedly claim that she had no idea how influential her comments were on Twitter, and she didn’t maliciously intend to ruin anyone’s reputation.

Should get interesting! Trial is scheduled to begin Jan. 18!

Between all the drinking, fights and hook-ups, it’s not easy being a female housemate on Jersey Shore. But the hit MTV series struck gold when it cast the newest roommate, Deena Nicole Cortese, who was already friends with star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi. On and off camera the two are double trouble! “The most guys I’ve hooked up with in one night is probably three,” Deena tells Life & Style.

“People consider me a man-eater,” the 23-year-old party girl from New Egypt, N.J. says. “I don’t really like dating, though. Dates can be so awkward!” Instead, the 5-foot-Jersey girl likes to make out when she’s drunk with guys she describes as “lean cuisines.”

“They’re guys who have nice muscles on them but aren’t too big. They go to the gym, but they’re not juiced-up. Pauly D would be a lean cuisine. Mike too, not Ronnie.” And while the guys already have a motto on the show—GTL, for gym, tanning, laundry—Deena is coming into season three, premiering on Jan. 6, with her own! “Mine is GTS — for gym, tanning, shopping. On Dec. 28th, Amber Portwood emerged from the Madison County jail in Anderson, Ind. visibly shaken and certain she never wants to go back behind bars. “I just can’t even imagine not seeing my little baby if I go back to jail,” the Teen Mom star and mother to 2-year old Leah told Life & Style in her first post-jail interview right outside the brick walls. “It scares me so bad.”

But it’s a very real possibility for Amber. She’s been charged with two counts of domestic battery, one count of neglect of a dependent and one misdemeanor charge of domestic battery for beating her ex and Leah’s father, Gary Shirley, during an episode of MTV’s hit reality show. If convicted, she could be ordered to serve three years in prison and pay a $10,000 fine—which has her second-guessing her decision to sign on to the show in the first place.

In fact, she admits that having her dirty laundry air on TV has for all intents and purposes ruined her life. “I wouldn’t have been in jail because nobody would have known about it,” she told Life & Style. And her family seems to agree. “Before that scene of her hitting Gary aired, she didn’t have problems,” her brother Shawn Portwood tells Life & Style. “I can’t say completely that it’s the show’s fault because obviously my sister did it. But Amber and Gary asked them not to air the fight because they knew this legal stuff would happen. Now my sister gets death threats, and my niece’s life is in turmoil.”

This just makes me crazy. She blames MTV for video taping it? She’s upset because her abuse was caught on camera – and MTV played it?  Does this make any sense? The only person Amber can blame – is AMBER. Cry me a river. If she hadn’t assaulted Gary, she wouldn’t have been in jail. Thank God MTV was there – and able to catch her in the act. Maybe now she can be held accountable for something!

On Tuesday night, the newly engaged actress, 34, flashed her engagement ring for the first time while attending the L.A. Lakers game with fiance Jim Toth.

The CAA agent, 40, worked with jeweler William Goldberg to design the 4-carat, $250,000 Ashoka cut diamond ring before popping the question in December.

Toth, who began dating the How Do You Know actress in January 2010 after she split from Jake Gyllenhaal, is already a hit with Reese Witherspoon’s kids, Ava, 11, and Deacon, 7.
