Rooney Mara is ready for Lisbeth Salander.

The 25-year-old actress is W Magazine’s February issue.

The drastic change is all part of Mara’s next role as the anti-establishment, chain-smoking private investigator in the movie adaption of Stieg Larsson’s Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

She and Daniel Craig, who plays Mikael Blomkvist, have been filming David Fincher’s American version in Sweden. The movie has a December 2011 release.

Rapper Nicki Minaj graces the cover of the latest V Magazine.  Nicki lives up to the hype in “The Discovery Issue,” with Inez Van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin photographing the birth of a star in her dual-cover (fold-out) issue.

During a radio interview last summer in support of Kanye West’s new single, “Monster” – a psych-rap posse track featuring Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, and indie-folk singer Bon Iver – West declared Minaj to be “the scariest artist in the game right now – she has the most potential to be the number two rapper of all time.” (Number one, in Kanye’s mind, being Eminem.)  Nicki Minaj…the funny face with the Day-Glo wigs, bounteous curves, and multiple personalities? Number two rapper of all time? In-old school hip hop circles the idea could be considered profane.

Now, just in the wake of her debut album, Minaj is deadly serious about not taking it all too seriously. “I’m an entertainer – I like to make people laugh,” she says. “Some will hate it and some will love it, but all will remember it. And that’s what I want: to be remembered. Even if I’m saying something hard-core or controversial, there’s always a touch of humor, and if you don’t like it, it means I’m stirring things up inside of you.” At the same time, there’s a lot going on inside the artist’s own head. “I just always want to do ‘me,’ but ‘me’ changes every day. I would crumble up and die if I had to wake up and be the same person every day. I don’t silence those voices anymore. I just let them speak.”

Jenny McCarthy makes an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” today. Jenny gushes about her new boyfriend, Paul, and reveals how they met!

Jenny opens up to Ellen about her new boyfriend, Paul, whom she’s been dating for five weeks. She shocked friends by kissing someone on New Years Eve. “Everyone thought, ‘Oh my god. She kissed a random dude.’ But no, it was the boy that I’m currently seeing named Paul who I like a lot. He’s very sweet.”

Ellen: Now, how long have you been seeing Paul?

Jenny: For like, 5 weeks, I think it’s been.

Ellen: What do you mean, “I think?” At that point, you know exactly how many days.

Jenny: Okay, it’s like 36 days and two hours but I decided to import this time because I wasn’t doing a very good job with LA guys. These LA dudes had more make up in their purse than me. They’d literally pull out their knapsack of concealers and I’m like, it’s time to look outside of LA. I found a boy. I went on some blind dates. He was my 5th blind date.

Ellen: Who set you up on blind dates?

Jenny: I told everyone I know, “Please, I can’t pick them. As a friend, find me a man.” So the first blind dates were these really bizarre dudes that were like, “Do you know Sharon Stone?” And I’m sitting on a date going, “Well, I know of her. I’ve seen her in movies.” “Well, you think you can get an autograph?” I’m like, “Oh my god.”

Ellen: What kind of friend set you up with that guy?

Jenny: Not a very good one. So my sister was the one who turned me on to Paul who’s a sports agent and lives in Boston. His accent is so strong it’s like Good Will Hunting strong that I really can’t understand anything he says to me. He could’ve proposed to me and I could’ve said yes by now and I have no idea. And I’m really happy.

Ellen: So he lives in Boston so you went on a date here or there? He came here?

Jenny: No, we met up in New York. We had a blind date there. You know that movie, “Up in The Air?”

Ellen: That’s what’s happening?

Jenny: We’ve been meeting up in the air in both cities and trying to make it work.

Ellen: So you’re very happy it seems.

Jenny: I am. I feel content. Everybody’s asking me the magic question, “Has he met [son] Evan?” Evan is, by the way, on the strictest VIP meet and greet which is like 6 months. I don’t have guys meeting him on a cycle. That boy is very important to me.

Ellen: Good, because that would be very confusing for him.

Jenny: It would be.

Natalie Portman’s taking it all off.

The actress, 29, is the new face of The Parfums Christian Dior line — and in a new ad for Miss Dior Cherie, Portman appears topless, with her hands covering her chest.

Wearing just a black bow in her hair, the Black Swan star gives a sexy look over her shoulder.

The ad — Portman’s first cosmetics endorsement deal — appears to have been shot prior to her announced pregnancy with fiance Benjamin Millepied’s child.

But R-rated poses are nothing new to Portman, who played a stripper in Closer, had a raunchy love scene with Mila Kunis in Black Swan, and sexy encounters with Ashton Kutcher in No Strings Attached.
