According to The Sun, the relationship was already on the rocks in December, and the couple made a mutual decision to part ways after a heart-to-heart conversation before Christmas.
“Yes, they have broken up,” Knightley’s father, Will Knightley, confirmed to the newspaper. “But that’s the way things go, unfortunately.”
He continued, “They were together for quite a long time, and it is always hard breaking up. She’s focused on her work.”
The pair met on the set of ‘Pride & Prejudice’ in 2005, but Knightley’s rising A-list status did not go down well with Friend.
A friend told the paper, “Rupert hates the idea of being followed and photographed. Keira partially had to accept it because of her rising profile. It affected the harmony in the relationship. The pressure took its toll, and both decided they should go their separate ways. They will remain life-long friends.”
According to TMZ, Charlie Sheen called in sick for work today on the set of ‘Two and a Half Men’ – claims he has an ear infection. But – looks like his story pans out!
TMZ has confirmed … a doctor from Warner Bros. is with Charlie and he really does have what we’re told is a “serious, ongoing ear problem.”
The Warner Bros. doctor got in the act because the insurance policy covering the show requires it.
Charlie has gone to his own doctor for the problem, but it’s legit.
Ear infection…hmm…that’s a good one. I’m gonna use it!
This is probably the worst movie trailer in history. If I didn’t tell you what the movie was about – you probably wouldn’t know. Heck, I know what the trailer is about – and I still don’t get it.
The trailer is for ‘Soul Surfer’, the true life story of Bethenny Hamilton, the surfing star who lost her arm in 2003 in a shark attack.
What’s interesting, is they choose not to show any of that in the trailer. Isn’t that what the movie’s about? I mean – why else would she be getting her own movie? There’s a quick glimpse at Carrie Underwood, who stars as someone interesting, I’m sure. AnnaSophia Robb (who starred in Bridge to Terabithia and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) plays Bethenny.
Hopefully the movie is better than the trailer… the trailer blows!

Blah, blah, blah. I’m so sick of these girls! They need to make like Bruce & Demi and move to Idaho for a decade. I was going to compare them to JL0 – remember how annoying she got when she was dating Ben Affleck? They were everywhere - JLo was the most overexposed celebrity of all time! But things worked out for Jenny in the end, so I guess comparing the Kardashian-sistas to Jen isn’t a huge insult.
Besides, I doubt they’ve ever actually stepped foot inside a Sears before Sears started signing their paychecks! They’ve “always shopped at Sears“!? Oh yeah – for what, I ask you. For what!
