Really!? Why am I surprised? I thought the Olsen twins had it – maybe Victoria Beckham. But Jessica? Here’s the scoop from Pop Eater:
“Things are going great for her right now,” says a source close to the singer. “She’s in a really good place now.”
Indeed, Simpson graced the cover of WWD on Dec. 6, with the headline, “Jessica Simpson: Fashion’s Billion Dollar Baby.”
The Jessica Simpson Collection, it turns out, has become one of the most successful celebrity fashion lines of all time, according to WWD. It will most likely become the first ever to earn more than a billion dollars in retail sales, considering her line brought in a whopping $750 million in retail sales this year alone, WWD reports.
Simpson’s estimated net worth from all the shoes, clothes and accessories she’s selling? A cool $100 million. Not bad for the gal who famously wondered if tuna was chicken on her hit MTV series ‘Newlyweds,’ with ex-hubby Nick Lachey.
“She is the girl next door and has great product that surrounds her,” Vince Camuto, the founder and CEO of Camuto Group, her brand’s master licensee, told WWD. “People like her. People look at her as a style icon.”
The new version of Shakespeare’s classic tale is directed by Julie Taymor (of the Broadway productions of “The Lion King” and “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark”) and features an incredible ensemble cast that includes Alan Cumming, Helen Mirren, Alfred Molina and Brand, among many others.
In her big-screen adaptation of Shakespeare’s mystical thriller The Tempest, Academy Award-nominated Julie Taymor brings an original dynamic to the story by changing the gender of the sorcerer Prospero into the sorceress Prospera, portrayed by Oscar winner Helen Mirren. Prospera’s journey spirals through vengeance to forgiveness as she reigns over a magical island, cares for her young daughter, Miranda, and unleashes her powers against shipwrecked enemies in this exciting, masterly mix of romance, tragicomedy and the supernatural.
Here’s the first look at Season 5 (the final season) of Big Love! It comes back on January 16th, and while the trailer doesn’t give much away – it definitely looks like it’s going to be a great season!
What do you want to see in the final season?

Katy Perry’s latest appearance on TV in the Christmas episode of ‘The Simpsons’ isn’t likely to earn her any edits, like the curvy duet with Elmo that got her cut from ‘Sesame Street’ this fall. But that doesn’t mean she’s playing it safe.
Perry appears in a form-fitting red latex dress featuring the faces of America’s favorite animated family. Next to Perry, the Simpsons are in rare form — appearing as puppets, that is — when they meet the chart-topping, doe-eyed pop star. After providing a very warm hug to the frigid Mr. Burns, Perry sings a Christmas carol parody with the gang.
