Salma Hayek looks a bit alien in this new cover of V Mag. The photo was taken by Karl Lagerferd, and Salma’s wearing Alexander McQueen. Here’s some interview highlights from Fox News:
Salma Hayek talks about her humble beginnings, her former undocumented immigrant status and her charity projects in the new issue of V Magazine Spain, where the Mexican actress seductively poses for the cover titled “A Woman’s Weapons.”
Hayek’s involvement with women’s issues has distinguished her in Hollywood. Her advocacy includes promoting awareness programs about violence against women and on the rising discrimination against undocumented workers.
“I was an illegal immigrant in the United States,” Hayek said during the interview. “It was for a small period of time, but I still did it.”
Today, Hayek is one of the most prominent Latina figures in Hollywood. She is an acclaimed actress, director and producer and one of a few Latinas to be nominated in the “Best Actress” category of the Academy Awards.
“I had to endure the worst time of all in terms of racial discrimination in Hollywood when I first started out,” Hayek said in the interview. “It was inconceivable to American directors and producers that a Mexican woman could have a lead role.”

VH1’s go-to guy for treating stars under the influence, Dr. Drew Pinsky, doesn’t understand his critics. He believes he’s healing celebrities while entertaining the masses, but many critics claim Dr. Drew’s just taking advantage of the D-listers he features on his rehab-related shows.
“I’m a little confused by that,” the addiction medicine specialist told PopEater. “On the one hand, these are people that are not particularly motivated to seek treatment, yet they desperately need it. They come to us because they’re motivated to be on TV and make money and because of that skewed motivation we’re able to keep them in treatment. The extraordinary thing we’ve discovered is that they don’t leave treatment. They want to be on TV and make money and I can work very intensely with them. They don’t leave. In usual treatment, when you get going intensely, they leave and say, ‘Screw this, I’m going to do drugs.’ These guys stay and they end up eventually getting with the program. I think you’ll find almost every person who’s done it feels it was a life-changing experience and wanted to be an inspiration to other people.”
According to Dr. Drew, that life-changing perspective proves there’s merit instead of a mercenary nature in what he’s doing.
“So if it’s a mercenary or exploitative experience, you would think we would be taking something from them for ourselves,” the “Celebrity Rehab” host said. “They’re getting paid, often considerably more than I am, they’re getting great treatment and a great outcome and they feel good about it. So how is that exploitative? Are we playing on their fame-seeking? Sure, but in terms of getting on the other side, you’ll see less of them on TMZ.”
I tend to be a Dr. Drew critic. I don’t think reality TV is the right way to heal anyone. Does that actually worked? Has he really helped anyone stay sober – long term – on Celebrity Rehab? Who’s with me?

These pictures have been leaked online today, showing a candid – and barely dressed – Christina Aguilera on the set of a music video in April.
The pictures were taken on the set of her music video shoot for “Not Myself Tonight”. The video – which you can see here – marked the birth of a very different Christina. She appeared in bondage, latex, you name it. It was a very sexual video – and to some (okay me) it seemed pretty desperate. She tried to “shock” like Lady Gaga, but I thought she fell short.
