Lisa Ling has admitted to her former colleagues on ‘The View’ that she suffered a tragic miscarriage six months ago, PEOPLE reports.
In an episode of the show scheduled to air tomorrow, Ling tells the hosts of her devastating loss, “I felt more like a failure than I’d felt in a very long time.”
The journalist admits that she and her husband, oncologist Paul Song,”[hadn't] been trying that long” when she became pregnant. It wasn’t until almost two months into the pregnancy that Ling’s doctor informed the couple that the baby’s heart wasn’t beating.
“I don’t know that I took it as seriously as I should have because it happened so fast,” she says. “But then when I heard the doctor say there was no heartbeat it was like bam, like a knife through the heart.”

Chelsea Handler is once again making it clear she’s on Team Aniston.
The comedian takes yet more jabs at Angelina Jolie while praising her pal Jennifer Aniston in a new interview with Glamour magazine.
When asked about Jolie, the Chelsea Lately host tells Katie Couric, who conducted the interview, “I’m not a fan. She just doesn’t come off to me as a sincere woman. She seems like a woman that you’d really want to avoid.”
Aniston, on the other hand, is described by Handler as “very” funny when asked which women amuse her. “Jennifer Aniston makes me laugh,” she said. “She’s irreverent and hilarious, and she sends me really, really funny e-mails.”
When asked about her biting brand of comedy, Handler says she’ll go for anyone she deems worthy of the Handler treatment.
“I think it’s important to be politically incorrect,” she says. “You don’t want to be nasty, and you don’t want to be malicious. But it’s okay – I mean, funny trumps everything in my mind.”
However her nasty remarks about Jolie – and racially insensitive jokes about some of Jolie’s children – during a comedy show in Newark, N.J., have caused a stir.
In her defense, Handler says she’s been picking on Jolie for years, before she was buddies with Aniston, who was married to Jolie’s partner Brad Pitt.

Rumors have it that when ‘The Tourist’ opens on Friday – it’s going to bomb. I called that months ago when I saw the trailer. It just doesn’t look interesting. And more importantly – there’s zero chemistry between Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp.
Some say it may end up like Angelina Jolie’s last movie, ‘Salt’. Opened poorly – but in the end brought in over $125 million… Here’s what some of the critics have to say.
This zero-chemistry pairing of Angelina Jolie and Depp stands as an object lesson in the perils of succumbing to the siren call of big-time Hollywood filmmaking for a foreign director with one art house hit behind him.” - The Hollywood Reporter
Like a beautifully tailored suit that starts to smell funny after a few minutes, this sumptuous but stultifying lark sets up a quasi-Hitchcockian intrigue between two strangers abroad, but smothers any thrills or sparks in a haze of self-regard. – Variety
You go into a movie like The Tourist hoping for a feast of personality from the stars. What you get, in this case, is a waxworks version of chemistry. – Entertainment Weekly
The Tourist gives background extras more to do than milling around and faking conversation. Each are also instructed to interrupt whatever they’re doing when Jolie sashays by, to offer approving nods for her backside. Nice work, if you can get it. – St. Petersburg TImes
The script piles the preposterous on top of the absurd and the film’s thin charms dissipate, revealing the creaking movie star contraption underneath. - Orlando Sentinel

In a statement released exclusively to EW, Modern Family star Ed O’Neill denies that he said that Glee actress Jane Lynch did not deserve the Emmy for her role as Sue Sylvester. O’Neill was quoted in a TV Guide Canada story as saying, “I love Jane, honestly I do. I’m dying to star in one of Christopher Guest’s movies alongside her, but I don’t think she should have gotten the Emmy for that part. [Sue Sylvester] is just a one-note character.” He then is quoted singing the praises of his onscreen wife, played by Sofia Vergara.
O’Neill’s statement reads in full: “Last week I spoke to a group of journalists and one quoted me supposedly saying of Jane Lynch, ‘I don’t think she should have gotten the Emmy for that part.’ I never said those words and transcripts of the press conference attest to that fact. Of course I root for my dear friends Sofia Vergara and Julie Bowen (and all of my colleagues on our show) at Emmy time, but I absolutely never said, nor do I believe that Jane — whom I think is an enormous talent — was undeserving of the award. I reached out to her yesterday to ensure she knew I’d been misquoted but I wanted to clear this up publicly as well.” (A rep for Lynch told E! Online the actress had “let [the issue] go.”)

Wesley Snipes began serving a three-year sentence at a federal prison in Pennsylvania on Thursday for failure to file income tax returns. Snipes, 48, arrived shortly before noon at the Federal Correctional Institution McKean in the tiny northwestern Pennsylvania town of Lewis Run, federal prisons spokesman Ed Ross said. He had been ordered to surrender by noon.
