Michelle Williams has revealed that she wasn’t a fan of her cheesy image on the show, Dawson’s Creek.
In a recent interview, she said, “I said to a friend being on Dawson’s Creek was kind of like being a mobster. You set up a shop selling pizza, but in the back you’re laundering money. You’re doing one thing in plain sight and secretly plotting something else. I was plotting my tastes, my interests, my beliefs and hopes for what I could be.”
Williams admitted it was a struggle to get substantial work after the show ended. “Yes, it was hard getting jobs I wanted,” she said. “I was a pop tart. It took patience and baby steps.”
The Oscar-nominated star, next up opposite Ryan Gosling in the indie flick Blue Valentine, revealed her five-year-old daughter Matilda (with the late Heath Ledger) also has some more mature tastes.
“She’s into Fred [Astaire] and Ginger [Rogers] right now,” she said. “Don’t get me wrong, she has her pop culture references, but I try to make a balance is all.”
The 24-year-old Mean Girls star has gone 100 days since her last positive drug and alcohol test and is successfully staying away from the substances that have landed her in rehab.
Since entering the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California, Lindsay has been earning privileges to leave on day trips, work, and even drive again. All of which are part of the recovery Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden Fox hoped to achieve when he sentenced the actress to the treatment center until January 3, 2011.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Lindsay is taking her sobriety seriously, according to her mom Dina, and is looking forward to working again in the New Year.
Her father Michael wished his daughter well and exclusively told RadarOnline.com: “I hope she has a decade more.”
Good for her! I hope she can maintain that and stay sober!
It was revealed recently that Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson parted ways because distance caused them to grow apart. Now, we’re hearing that he tried to fix things before they went south.
A source said that Scarlett was feeling the strain in their marriage and Ryan tried to improve their situation. The source said, “At first it was…let’s fix this. And then it got to the point where it was just, if it’s not working, it’s not working. He’s an adult, and he finally just said they should stop.”
The age difference between the two of them might have had a factor in their split, as well. The source said, “She’s young, and that played into how she’s able to deal with things.”
The source believes the couple decided “pretty recently” to divorce, before the problems got any worse. “They’re doing it this way because there’s no drama, there’s no cheating, there’s no nothing. These are just two people who love each other who are not going to be together anymore.”
As for reports that Reynolds was involved with costar Blake Lively, several sources insist it isn’t true. “They worked together and got along really well,” says a source. “But there’s not more to it.”
Another source adds that Reynolds is planning to let Johansson file for divorce first. And following the dissolution of their two-year marriage, healing will take time.
“Ultimately, this is the best thing to keep both of them happy and healthy in the long run,” the source says. “But yeah, he’s sad. They both are.”
Cannot wait!! I love Brad Pitt and Sean Penn! This is a beautiful trailer for the new film, ‘Tree of Life’ from Terrence Malick.
“At the end of the 1960’s in Texas, Jack O’Brien (Sean Penn), the the eldest of three brothers, just lost his younger brother. And he remembers his childhood. The Tree of life traces the evolution of an eleven-year-old boy in the Midwest. At first all seems marvelous to the child. He sees as his mother (Jessica Chastain)does, with the eyes of his soul. She represents the way of love and mercy, where the father (Brad Pitt) tries to teach his son the world’s way, of putting oneself first. Each parent contends for his allegiance, and Jack must reconcile their claims. The picture darkens as he has his first glimpses of sickness, suffering and death. The world, once a thing of glory, becomes a labyrinth.
Framing this story is that of adult Jack, a lost soul in a modern world, seeking to discover amid the changing scenes of time that which does not change: the eternal scheme of which we are a part. When he sees all that has gone into our world’s preparation, each thing appears a miracle — precious, incomparable. Jack, with his new understanding, is able to forgive his father and take his first steps on the path of life.”
Yesterday I posted the 2010 Kardashian Christmas card.
Now, even more Kardashian Christmas cards through the years have been released! Kim says on her blog that “It’s so fun looking back at these! I love the themed ones from when we were younger… like the motorbikes and leather!? LOL.”
I’ve said it before – and I’ll say it again… It’s crazy how much Khloe DOES NOT look like the rest of her family. Hmmm….
