Sir Elton John and David Furnish have become parents to son Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, the couple tells UsMagazine.com exclusively.

The baby boy, who was born Dec. 25 in California via a surrogate, weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces.

“We are overwhelmed with happiness and joy at this very special moment,” John and Furnish tell Us in a joint statement. “Zachary is healthy and doing really well, and we are very proud and happy parents.”

This is the first child for John and Furnish. The couple married in 2005 after 12 years together.

A rep for the couple has stated that they intend to protect and respect the privacy of their surrogate, and will not be discussing any details relating to the surrogacy arrangements.

Sean Penn did some shopping in Miami, Florida on December 27, 2010 with his children daughter Dylan and son Hopper Penn. Sean shopped around Mr. R Sports where he and the kids picked up a few things before heading on their way to do more shopping.

Recently reported, Penn traveled to his charity center J/P Haitian Relief Organization in Haiti to make sure his staff was okay since the situation there has worsen and because of this he missed the acceptance of the Dubai Film Festival lifetime achievement award.

Nicole Richie made her way out of a gym in Studio City, California on December 27, 2010. Nicole married long time boyfriend Joel Madden earlier this month and had a real elephant in their wedding ceremony for good luck.

Earlier today, we told you that Natalie Portman is pregnant by (and engaged to) her Black Swan co-star and choreographer, Benjamin Millepied, and now she’s speaking out about her happy news!

Just a few hours after news of Natalie Portman’s engagement and pregnancy was announced, the Black Swan star has released this statement exclusively to EW: “I have always kept my private life private but I will say that I am indescribably happy and feel very grateful to have this experience.” For more with Portman, check out the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, featuring the annual “Oscar Race is On!” package, on stands later this week.

Teen Mom star Amber Portwood has been arrested today, after she was charged with two felony counts of domestic violence.

She allegedly beat up her baby’s father, Gary Shirley, on three separate occasions between August 2009 and July 2010, with some of the beatings being captured by MTV’s camera crews for her reality show.

TMZ reports:

Earlier today, the Madison County Prosecutor’s Office had charged Portwood with two felony counts of domestic battery, one felony count of neglect of a dependent, and one misdemeanor count of domestic battery.

Amber was booked at 4:21 PM EST — and we’re told she’s been placed on a “24-hour hold.”

Bail has been set at $5,000.

Justin Bieber wants to bring the Bieber Fever love to Romanian orphans in the New Year.

He said that he is haunted by the pictures that he’s seen of orphans in Europe and he wants to do what he can to help, even if it’s just showing them some love.

In a new interview, he said, “In Romania there are a lot of orphans….that are never touched or loved. That’s really sad for me. I want to go over there and just hold them.”

He went on to reveal that he thinks of Michael Jackson whenever he sees children struggling around the globe and wants to help them. He added, “He (MJ) always wanted to help others and he always wanted to make people smile, make people happy with his music and his songs….and that’s kind of what I want to do.”

Such a good samaritan!
