Here’s pictures from today’s Official Royal engagement photocall with Prince William and Kate Middleton (Catherine) at St James’s Palace. Kate is wearing the engagement ring that Prince Charles gave to Princess Diana. Clarence House announced that the wedding will take place during spring/summer 2011.
According to TMZ Prince William has revealed that he proposed to Kate Middleton with his mom’s engagement ring — the same one Princess Di stopped wearing after Charles cheated on her … which in turn, ruined the marriage, embarrassed the royals and tore the family apart.
Diana famously picked out the £30,000 ring — which consisted of 14 diamonds surrounding a sapphire — back in 1981. They divorced in 1996.
I still remember to this day where I was when I heard Princess Di had died. It’s one of those moments you don’t forget. She was really something. Happy to see Prince William happy – and that Princess Di’s ring goes to his lovely fiance! Yes, I said lovely.
Kim Kardashian seemed to be enjoying her court side seats at the Houston Rockets basketball game against New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Kim sat with The Dream and a few other pals including her sisters boyfriend Scott Disick. Kim and The Dream are reportedly working on a music project together.
TMZ has learned Beyonce’s parents — Mathew Knowles and Tina Knowles — are no longer getting divorced … at least for now.
A trial was supposed to take place yesterday in Harris County, Texas, but nobody showed up, so the judge dismissed the case.
It’s unclear if Tina and Mathew have reconciled … or just forgot to show up, but we’re guessing since they both were lawyered up they didn’t just forget to show … rather, they made a conscious decision to drop the divorce.
As TMZ first reported, Tina filed for divorce in November of ’09 — one month after Mathew was hit with a paternity suit by Alexsandra Wright. A DNA test later proved the kid was indeed Mathew’s.
In 140 AD, two men – master and slave – venture beyond the edge of the known world on a dangerous and obsessive quest that will push them beyond the boundaries of loyalty and betrayal, friendship and hatred, deceit and heroism… The Roman epic adventure The Eagle stars Channing Tatum and Jamie Bell and is directed by Academy Award winner Kevin Macdonald.
20 years earlier, Rome’s 5,000-strong Ninth Legion, under the command of Flavius Aquila, marched north carrying their treasured golden Eagle emblem. They never returned; Legion and Eagle simply vanished into the mists. Hearing a rumor that the Eagle has been seen in a tribal temple in the far north, Flavius’ son Marcus (Tatum), determined to restore the tarnished reputation of his father, is galvanized into action. Accompanied only by his slave Esca (Bell), Marcus sets out into the vast and dangerous highlands of Scotland – to confront its savage tribes, make peace with his father’s memory, and retrieve the hallowed Eagle. Along the way Marcus realizes that the mystery of his father’s disappearance may well be linked to the secret of his own slave’s identity and loyalty – a secret all the more pressing when the two come face-to-face with the warriors of the fearsome Seal Prince (Tahar Rahim).
