Pregnant singer Alanis Morissette has covered her bulging belly in a henna pattern as part of a “heart-warming” ceremony celebrating her impending motherhood.

She posted this picture on Twitter showing her stomach, along with her friends’ hands and arms, which were also adorned in matching swirls.

She wrote, “some rituals surprise in the heart-warming department…. — am.”

The singer is expecting a baby boy. She announced her pregnancy joy in August. It will be the star’s first child with husband MC Souleye, who she married in May.

And the 36 year old is making plans for a blue nursery after learning her firstborn will be a son, her representative tells UsMagazine.com.

Alanis Morissette is getting ready for a new little man in her life!

The pregnant singer, 36, is expecting a baby boy, her rep confirms exclusively to UsMagazine.com.

Morissette first shared her pregnancy news with Us Weekly in August.

She wed rapper MC Souleye, 30 (real name: Mario Treadway), this past May 22 at their Los Angeles home.

“We’re very excited to embark on this journey with each other,” she wrote on her Twitter page soon after tying the knot.

Acclaimed director Steven Soderbergh will direct Michael Douglas and Matt Damon in a Liberace biopic next summer.

The project, which has been on the back burner for over two years, is expected to finally get underway. The Ocean’s Eleven director has drafted Douglas to play the flamboyant pianist and Damon is taking on the part of Scott Thorson, Liberace’s alleged lover.

“It’s told from the perspective of Scott,” Soderbergh told MTV News last year. “We have this framing device in which he’s laying [the story] out for us. As a narrator, it feels like he has an agenda – and then when you get to the ending you realize, ‘Oh, it’s not what I thought.’”

Liberace vehemently denied being gay and successfully sued The Daily Mirror and Confidential in 1957 for implying he was gay.

The personal life of Liberace – especially his true sexuality – remains mysterious to this day. Born in Wisconsin, he started playing the piano at the age of four. In the early 1940s he performed his musical act of classical whimsy to New York audiences to some success, but hit the jackpot in Las Vegas where he earned millions with his lavish – some would say campy – musical productions. In 1982, Scott Thorson sued the pianist for $113 million in palimony – claiming the pair shared a home for five years. The court dismissed his claim, but he did receive a $95,000 settlement.

Liberace died at the age of sixty-seven in 1987 from AIDS-related complications. His noticeable rapid weight loss was attributed to a “watermelon diet” by his longtime manager.

Following in the financial footsteps of The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice, Sonja Morgan of the New York City cast has filed for bankruptcy, reports The Wall Street Journal.

“The decision to seek bankruptcy relief was not an easy one,” Morgan says in court papers. “But unfortunately, I am at a crossroads in my life.”

Morgan, who joined the Housewives franchise in the show’s third season, stated that she’s battling a “bitter” divorce with John Adams Morgan and listed $19.8 million in debt and $13.5 million in assets on her Chapter 11 bankruptcy petition.

In the court papers, Morgan blames a failed venture to make a movie with John Travolta as part of the reason she’s hit a financial low, the Journal reports.

“I became involved . . . with Hannibal Pictures, Inc., to make and produce a movie known as Fast Flash to Bang Time, potentially starring John Travolta,” Morgan says. “This movie never got off the ground.”

But Morgan isn’t giving up hope. “My current monthly income including support is about $26,000 per month,” she says. “And I expect this income to improve as new opportunities materialize.”

What turns one person on leaves another cold, of course, but there’s no denying the heat on screen in Love & Other Drugs. Jake Gyllenhaal, 29, plays Jamie Randall, a cocky pharmaceutical salesman who falls for an emotionally guarded young Parkinson’s patient named Maggie Murdock (Anne Hathaway). In the R-rated film out Nov. 24, the duo, who played husband and wife in 2005’s Brokeback Mountain, share several intense sex scenes and bravely reveal nearly every inch of their enviably toned bodies.

Though they’re not a couple in real life, they’re one of the more convincing young screen pairings to come along in a while. And it helps that they were guided by Zwick, 58, who directed one of the most frank romances of the ’80s, About Last Night… Here the three talk to EW about the sexy movies they watched before shooting, how they choreographed the film’s most physical scenes, and why they’re always texting each other now.

Entertainment Weekly: When you first read this script, were you at all scared to take it on?

Jake Gyllenhaal: I immediately fell in love from the first 10 pages, and by the end I was weeping. It felt like this weird sense of fate. I went to Ed and basically begged him. I was like, “This part was written for me.”

Edward Zwick: When we met, I saw things in Jake that I had not seen on screen. And that’s what you want. Then somebody said, “Did you ever see Jake host Saturday Night Live? You should look at it.” And I did. [To Gyllenhaal] I’m not saying you got this part necessarily because you were in drag.

Anne Hathaway: But it didn’t hurt!

Chris Daughtryand wife Deanna welcomed fraternal twins Adalynn Rose and Noah James on Wednesday, the singer announced via his official website.

Daughter Adalynn arrived first at 11:06 a.m. weighing 6 lbs, 5 oz; brother Noah arrived at 11:25 a.m. weighing 5 lbs, 5 oz.

“Our family is overwhelmed with joy by these two precious gifts from God,” the former American Idol contestant, 30, said. “The babies are both healthy and resting. Thanks to everyone for their love and prayers.”
