Based on crime writer Michael Connelly’s novel of the same name, the film stars McConaughey as Mickey Haller, a morally ambiguous barrister driven around Los Angeles in a Lincoln Town Car by a former client working of his legal fees.

As luck would have it, he lands for a client the wealthy real estate developer Louis Ross Roulet (Ryan Phillippe), who’s been accused of attacking a beautiful young woman.

A celebrity jeweler says Courtney Love hasn’t returned nearly $114,000 worth of borrowed baubles, and the gem dealer is suing to get them back.

The rocker borrowed two white gold and diamond chains, a white gold, floral-design mesh bracelet and a pair of white gold and diamond pave hoop earrings on Sept. 21, Jacob & Co. said in a lawsuit filed Monday. The suit says she has returned only the bracelet, despite demands for the other pieces.

She indicated to the jeweler that she’d lost the items, but their agreement specified that she was responsible for them “regardless of loss or damage,” said the company’s lawyer, Jeffrey Klarsfeld. Love’s spokesman and lawyer didn’t immediately respond to messages.

The lawsuit seeks the gems or their $113,700 value.

TMZ has obtained a series of text messages between Charlie Sheen and Capri Anderson, sent just hours after The Plaza Hotel incident — in which Charlie is still flirting with her in a big way as he offers her $20,000.

In one text, Charlie says, “All I need is an Acct number etc and I will wire u 20k if u think that will cover everything … I really feel bad, u are as cool and sexy and as sweet and fun and friendly as they get!”

Just before sending that text, Capri fired off her own, saying “u trashed my brand new prada purse dude not cool – how u managed to rip the strap off and put 2 holes in it is beyond me.”

After offering the $20,000, Charlie says, “Don’t worry about our mutual friends, deal with me directly and I promise u kind lady, all will be restored and set straight.”

The night after the incident, at 6:28 PM, Charlie is still trying to connect, texting, “Just landed, perhaps we can speak tonite….?”

Doing the publicity rounds for ‘Black Swan,’ Mila Kunis reveals she went on a binge eating spree after months of strict dieting for the film.

The actress went on an extreme diet and punishing fitness regime that saw her weight plummet to 98 pounds to play the part of a ballerina. According to The Daily Mail, the actress said her weight loss was so extreme she admitted it concerned her family.

“My mom freaked out,” Kunis says. “She was like, ‘You have to promise me his isn’t going to affect you.’ I was like, ‘I promise it won’t, but it might take me a little time to be OK with having a little more fat on me.’”

Kunis, who is known for her usually curvy figure, admitted she hated looking at her shapeless body in the mirror. (more…)

Joe is supposedly so smitten with the Twilight babe, many outlets have been speculating for weeks that he’s ready to pop the question to Greene, 23, but we’re hearing this is “not true,” according to sources close to the actress.

The two are content, yes, but just because Joe has ditched his purity ring doesn’t mean he’s ditched it for an engagement one.
