While his band, the Killers are on hiatus from touring and recording, lead-singer Brandon Flowers is launching  a solo career with his debut album, Flamingo.

He recently opened up to Spin Magazine about being on his own for the first time.

“I haven’t felt this exposed in over seven years,” Flowers tells SPIN.com, referring to the Killers’ formation in 2002. “At first I thought [going solo] would be this liberating thing, and now I’ve come to realize that it’s nice to have the guys there with you going through the experience. I have a renewed admiration for the band.” His first solo show just last weekend was particularly nerve-racking: “It was nice to finally get that out of the way,” he says.

Flamingo is a new step for Flowers, but its theme is inspired by something he knows well: Sin City. “It’s about the experiences I’ve had with Las Vegas,” he says of his hometown. “A lot of my life took place on Flamingo [Road]. It’s part of Vegas mythology, and now it’s part of my own mythology. My first job was at a golf course on Flamingo. Sam’s Town [a casino that inspired the title of the Killers' 2006 album] is on Flamingo. I met my wife at a clothing store on Flamingo. Yes, you read that right… 50 Cent and Chelsea Handler are reportedly dating!

TMZ is reporting that the couple were spotted getting “hot and heavy” at a New Orleans club on Sunday night. The NY Daily News is reporting that the two have been flirting for months, since he made an appearance on her E! show, Chelsea Lately. The rapper/actor “left [Handler] a flirtatious voicemail after appearing on her show, and even reportedly sent her flowers.”

In August, 50 tweeted “I think @chelseahandler is beautiful I wanta see what that dog lookin at on her page.”

In 1986 Lisa Rinna had her lips injected with silicone. After years of being ridiculed for her upper lip (see above pic), she decided to do something about it, and have a lip reduction! “My lips started to define who I am,” Rinna, 47, tells PEOPLE about why she decided to undergo the procedure. “That bothered me.”

Rinna, didn’t acknowledge for many years that she had any work done at all. When she finally did come clean, people were harder on her. “I took a big hit for being honest. It gave everyone online permission to lambaste me. It hurt my feelings.”

“It doesn’t matter what other people think,” she says. “I did it for myself.”

As a result of the procedure, she says, rather than feeling “bumpy and uneven … my lip has no lumps! It’s smooth.”

But her mouth is still swollen from the procedure and will require six months to heal fully. “It’s a work in progress,” admits Rinna, “but I feel fantastic.”

I don’t think her lips seem much different at all, but maybe after the six months they’ll look different!

Lil Wayne is in trouble with jail officials after he was caught stashing a charger and headphones for a digital music player in his jail cell earlier this year. He hid the items in a chip bag, in his trash can. His punishment? Spending the rest of his time in solitary confinement!

The Grammy-winning rapper was moved into his own cell on Monday, in what officials call “punitive segregation” for a month. He’s expected to be released in November.

Lil Wayne will spend 23 hours a day in his jail cell, being let out only for showers and visitations. Before he was busted he was allowed to mingle with the rest of the prisoners all day. He loses TV privileges, and where he used to get one phone call a day, he now is limited to one a week.

In March, the 28-year-old rapper was shipped off to Rikers Island Jail Complex. In plead guilty in October 2009 to attempted criminal possession of a weapon (he admitted he had a loaded semiautomatic gun on his bus in 2007).

I have to admit, I do not watch Dancing With the Stars. It makes my skin crawl, I cannot STAND this show. But when I got online this morning and saw this video, I had to share. This here is a perfect example of why I can’t watch. I just do not find it entertaining in the least! Bristol Palin is a terrible dancer!

What’s hilarious is watching her partner, Mark Ballas dancing circles around her.

Apparently judges gave Bristol the second lowest scores of the night, the lowest going to Margaret Cho.

Even though they continue to try and keep their relationship on the down-low, everyone and their grandma knows their dating.

Robert Pattinson and girlfriend Kristen Stewart were spotted coming out of the back entrance of restaurant Ago in West Hollywood last night.

They were not pleased when they walked outside and saw the swarm of pap’s waiting for them. They quickly hopped into a cab, and sped off. After dinner, Rob, Kristen and their friends moved to the patio where the group was smoking and the guys were drinking,’ a source told E! online.

‘Everyone was laughing and having a good time together, but you could tell Rob was doting on Kristen and making sure she was comfortable.

‘They were next to each other everywhere the group went.’

The couple were having a nice Italian dinner at the famous restaurant, which is part owned by Robert DeNiro.

Two things. A) Robert finally shaved that beard!! B) Kristen’s hair is quite a bit lighter! Rumor has it, she’s lightening her hair for her role in On the Road, which she’s filming in Canada right now.

The latest Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn will begin it’s hectic filming schedule next month.
