Dan Gordon-Levitt was Joseph’s older brother. He was known as “Burning Dan” and was a fire-spinning flow artist. He professionally taught people how to dance with fire. Pop Eater spoke with Dan in August, and he seemed like a really great guy.
I haven’t been able to find out what happened, or how he died, but as soon as I do, I’ll post it!
Tell me about the school you’ve opened, Flow Arts School.
I started a school in Los Angeles, [and] I teach classes there and in Hollywood. I also drive around and teach at conferences, festivals, private parties, private lessons. I just got back from this conference in Peru where I taught at the conference and for local artists. I went from third world, often street kids, teaching them in the streets, to teaching at a corporate workshop — one of the biggest accounting companies in the world hired me and a couple friends to come and train 100 new employees.
How often are you mistaken for your brother? The resemblance is … baffling.
It’s wonderful to be mistaken for him. He taught me to question the relationships other people have with their siblings because he would be my favorite person in the world even if I wasn’t lucky enough to know him as my brother. He’s just awesome in every way that I pay attention to. I ask myself, “Do I love him because he’s my brother or is he really that awesome?” He’s really, really awesome.
Wow, sounds like you and Joe have a great relationship.
It’s rare that I don’t feel really proud of him.

Burning Dan, we will miss you.
you were a shining light for our entire community
and although I know you would want us to smile, dance, and flow
I’m going to take a few moments to be sad for your passing.
For everyone who has not heard, Dan passed peacefully and unexpectedly Sunday night. In addition to founding and running Flow Temple, Dan was a celebrated poi-oneer who constantly challenged our thoughts on both how the tools could be used, and what good you could bring to the world through your art form.
He was also an incredibly sweet soul.
When we have information on a memorial service, we will pass it on.
Rumer Willis and her actor boyfriend Micah Alberti have split. “They decided it wasn’t working,” a source close to the couple tells PEOPLE. “They’re moving on.”
Even though Demi Moore’s daughter was upset about the breakup, she headed to Tao in Las Vegas with some friends.
She was spotted out with ‘Glee”s Mark Salling and his pal Chord Overstreet, whom Willis reportedly flirted with all evening.
“Rumer was bouncing around the club having a great time just dancing … Chord was flirtatious with Rumer,” claims the source. “They had a lot of fun.”
Keira Knightley has cut all her hair off! The 25-year-old actress showed off her new 20′s inspired bob at the Chanel show today during Paris Fashion Week.
Keira told InStyle.co.uk: “I had my hair bobbed about a month ago, then I had it freshly trimmed again this morning.”
Knightley admits the new 20s style bob wasn’t for a movie role. She said: “I did it for myself.” The star sat front row at the Chanel show and loved how ‘beautiful’ it was.
Serena Williams and Common, who split in May, are back together! The two were spotted today getting close at the swanky Shore Club hotel in Miami. “They’re 100 percent back together. They were all over each other poolside,” an eyewitness says.
The couple had been together for two years before breaking up in May. Reports blamed the couple’s busy schedules for the split.
So will the reconciliation bring wedding bells soon? “I definitely want to get married,” Common said in an interview recently. “I would love to get married and have kids.”
