Not even a week has gone by since announcing her split from husband David Arquette, and already Courteney Cox is being offered big bucks to be the face of a cougar-themed dating website!

TMZ is reporting that Courteney has been offered $1 million to be the face of CougarLife.com, a website that specializes in matching older women with younger men. The owners figured the fact that she’s now single, combined with the fact that she stars in Cougar Town make her the perfect candidate for spokeswoman.

As far as the contract goes — Cox would be required to voice 12 radio ads, appear in 4 TV ads, and make at least 30 public appearances for the CL brand … all within the span of one year.

But there’s a catch — CL would reserve the right to fire Cox if she gets arrested or “conducts herself in a manner that brings herself into disrepute.”

That’s not demeaning at all! No way Courteney would ever sign (at least I hope not!)

The Ben Harper-Laura Dern split was just one of several surprising celebrity breakups of late. The reason for this one: Harper lost interest, according to Us Weekly.

Harper “is just not into her anymore,” said a source who spoke to the magazine. “The marriage became a chore — it lost passion and he got bored. He loves their kids (son Ellery, 9, and daughter Jaya, 5) and loves her, but wasn’t in love with her anymore.”

Another roadblock for the pair, who reportedly separated in January: his busy promotional and touring schedule for his new band Fistful of Mercy. “Now he doesn’t have time for her,” the source told Us. “He wants someone in the music world who he’ll have more in common with.”

This just makes me sick. He lost interest!? What the heck! Who said marriage was easy? People are too quick to divorce these days. Of course it’s not as interesting after years of being married. You have to work on it! The fact that he wants to move on and find someone who he’ll have more in common with makes my skin crawl.

I was talking with a couple friends last night about divorce. Statistically, one in five divorce these days. That’s horrible. Absolutely heartbreaking. What makes people stick it out? Why do some couples work through their marriage problems, while others divorce? I’ve always said the only thing that would make me want out of my marriage is infidelity. I have two children, and for their sake – the most important thing I can do as a parent is show them what a successful marriage looks like.

No, marriage is not always easy. No, it’s not always fun. But it is possible to be monogamous and have a happy marriage. Marriage requires work. If you put the work into it, it is possible to be happy. To hear that Ben Harper got bored just makes me crazy (yes, there are two sides to every story, I get that). I just think divorce is getting too commonplace.

This story is almost too crazy to believe.

Lindsay Lohan is currently seeking treatment for cocaine addiction at Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, CA. Earlier this week, Lindsay was caught trying to escape the facility!

The reason Lindsay tried to escape? She needed some Coke! As in Coca-Cola! The Betty Ford Center does not provide vending machine’s for their patients, so Lindsay tried to flee to the nearby Eisenhower Medical Center in a bid to buy a soda.

Lindsay would have made it, if it hadn’t been for her accomplice, which was another patient. While trying to hop a fence, the patient got her clothing stuck on the fence.

“Lindsay and her co-conspirator were forced to give it up and flag down a volunteer, who was crossing the center’s grounds on a golf cart,” a source, with knowlegde of the situation, told RadarOnline.com.

“The pair was safely returned, decaffeinated, to their hall, were they were the center of a process meeting over what they had done.”

The shocking news that David Arquette and Courteney Cox have separated after 11 years of marriage took everyone by surprise this week, except Courteney’s longtime pal Jennifer Aniston.

“Jen has known for some time that the couple was in trouble but hoped and prayed they would be able to work it out,” a friend of the actress tells me. “No one knows how painful divorce is more than Jen and she hopes they don’t rush into it without exhausting every possibility to stay together.”

Which clearly didn’t include a groggy and teary David calling into Howard Stern’s radio show yesterday morning and airing the notoriously private couple’s dirty laundry in public.

“Telling Howard that they haven’t had sex in four months is not the way David is going to win back his wife!” an insider tells me. “What he did on Howard confirmed Cox’s biggest complaint about her husband, that he needs to just grow up.”

There’s been no word yet if Courteney is going to listen to Jen’s advice and give the marriage another try, however, friends tell me no matter what Courteney decides to do, Jen will support her.

“Goodness knows Courteney supported Jen during her breakup with Brad Pitt. Now it’s Jens turn to be to supportive. After all, isn’t that what a friend is for.” Oh wait, I get it!

What a way to start my day of blogging. This was in my inbox this morning, and I couldn’t believe it! Gavin opened up in the new issue of Details, explaining his relationship with Robinson.

Details: Last year, the cross-dressing pop singer Marilyn revealed that he was romantically involved with you in your teens—an assertion Boy George first made in 1995. Why haven’t you talked about those claims?

Gavin Rossdale: I think at the outset there was a sort of fear—that was right at the beginning of Bush, and I didn’t want it to be part of it. It felt like a cheap shot, so I was like, “I’m not getting involved.” I’ve never wanted to appear closed about it. It’s not something I’ve talked about really because it’s always been in the glare of a tabloid world. It’s just one of those things: Move on. When you’re 17, Jesus Christ. I don’t think there’s anything strange about any form of—you’re learning about life. It’s a part of growing up. That’s it. No more, no less.

Details: So it was just a one-time experimentation?
Gavin Rossdale: Yeah. That was it. You have to know what you like, and I know what I like.
