Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen have officially ended their relationship, her rep confirms UsMagazine.com.
“Yes, the engagement is off, therefore, so is the wedding,” her rep tells Us.
In June, a source told Us the couple — who co-starred in the 2008 action flick, Jumper — were “taking about a month off” to evaluate their relationship. “They’re taking a break,” the insider added.
Around the same time, Bilson flashed a ringless finger to Us on the red carpet of a THQ/Take No Prisoners event in L.A. When asked how wedding plans were going, she said, “No, no plans” and pointed to her bare hand. “No nothing.”
Christensen, 29, and Bilson, 28, announced their engagement in February 2009.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Jason Bateman (seen above with his wife, actress Amanda Anka in Tribecca) has a role in mind for Jennifer Aniston in the highly-anticipated Arrested Development movie.
The Arrested Development movie — one of the year’s biggest will-they-or-won’t-they nail biters — could have a new Friend on its roster. (Okay, the “Friend” thing was a little cornball. You don’t mind.) During a junket for The Switch, Jason Bateman and Jennifer Aniston both told MTV they’d like to see her star in an AD film. “Anything to work with Jason,” Aniston gushed. Bateman claims to already have a role in mind for her, but insists there are no freebies and that “she’ll have to sing for her supper.”
Lady Gaga returned to Lollapalooza this past weekend for the first time since 2007, and it’s safe to say the crowd was just a bit bigger this time around. Gaga went from playing a humble singer-songwriter set on a side stage to opening the festival, bringing in a “massive” special stage with her that event founder and Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Ferrell admittedly invested hundreds of thousands of dollars into. “Only Lady Gaga could step in and say ‘I’m a headliner,’” Ferrell told Britain’s Daily Star.
Gaga may have upgraded but she certainly hasn’t lost her rock-and-roll spirit. After her own extravagant set, Gaga surprised Semi Precious Weapons fans by joining the band on-stage during their performance and causing a near riot. Wearing little more than fishnet stockings and strategic golden pasties, Gaga rocked out on drums before stage diving into the unsuspecting crowd and, to the dismay of her bodyguard, crowd surfing around for a bit.
In the 21st season of the CBS hit Survivor, the contestants are headed to Nicaragua! There’s usually a twist in each season, and this season is no different! Rather than be men vs. women, fans against favorites or heroes vs. villains, this year it’s the older vs. the youngins!
The new 20 contestants will be split up into two tribes: The Espada Tribe for individuals 40 and older and the La Flor Tribe for those 30 and younger!
Joining Survivor: Nicaragua is legendary football coach Jimmy Johnson. The old versus young division is not the only twist this season. At the very opening, Probst will reveal to the contestants a brand new item: the Medallion of Power. The Medallion can be used by a tribe to give itself an advantage in an immunity challenge, but once used, it goes over to the other tribe to use when it sees fit. “The Medallion of Power is designed to give you power at challenges,” explains Probst. “And our job is to make sure that the advantage is enough to tempt you — not so much that it’s a landslide, but enough that you go, ‘I’m not sure we should take it. Maybe we should, maybe we shouldn’t.’”
Check out Survivor: Nicaragua, which premieres on a new night, Wednesday, Sept. 15 (8 p.m. ET) on CBS.’
I don’t think I like the fact that it’s moved to Wednesday! It’s always been on Thursdays, Thursday is a good night! What do you think of the move?
I thought this was a joke when I first saw it, but it’s for real!
Weezer’s upcoming 8th album is named after Jorge Garcia’s character on Lost, Hurley.
As Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo tells Spinner, the album’s name came easily once they settled on the photo.
“We struggled super hard trying to come up with an album title, trying to find some kind of phrase that summed up the whole aesthetic behind the album: ‘Heavy Mental,’ ‘Smaller Than Life,’” Cuomo says. “I was coming up with all kinds of stuff, but ultimately, we just went with some random word that doesn’t really have anything to do with anything. I just loved this photo of Jorge Garcia – it just had this amazing vibe. We didn’t want to do a fourth self-titled record and we knew people would refer to it as ‘the Hurley record’ even if left it without that title, so we just called it ‘Hurley.’ No words are on the cover because all we wanted was his amazing face.”
