Taylor Momsen is making amends with Rihanna after reportedly trashing her for wearing leather jackets. The Gossip Girl actress, and Pretty Recklass singer was quoted saying   “People think pop is rock, and the lines are getting blurred. Now Rihanna’s wearing f**king leather jackets, and it’s really annoying.”

But the 17 year old is adamant she never meant to cause offence.

Momsen tells Britain’s T4, “First of all I’d like to say that quote was spun… it’s a misquote. I was arguing the difference between rock versus pop and it’s a very pop-oriented world at the moment. There is no rock and the people who dress or have guitars in their music… (for) audiences that’s the closest thing they have to rock right now.

“We’re looking to bring back a real rock band and Rihanna – I wasn’t insulting Rihanna. Rihanna’s great. (Eminem collaboration Love the Way You Lie) is awesome. That’s a great song.”

Life & Style can exclusively report that Saturday Night Live co-stars stars Fred Armisen and Abby Elliott are dating.

As revealed by Life & Style last week, Fred split from Mad Men’s Elisabeth Moss in May after 10 months of marriage. It was an amicable separation.

“They’ve known each other for a few years from being on SNL together but after the split, Fred sought comfort in Abby. They just started dating a few months ago.

“Fred and Abby are getting to know each other in a romantic way and taking things very slowly but enjoying each other’s company. It’s early days,” says a source close to the couple.

A friend of Elisabeth’s tells Life & Style: “Elisabeth is doing great and focused on Mad Men and is enjoying the single life. This news won’t even phase her.”

Fred, 43, has been with SNL since 2002 while 23-year-old Abby joined in 2008.

He is currently filming his new series Portlandia in Portland, Ore.

This weekend Lady Gaga dethroned Britney Spears as the celebrity with the most followers on Twitter.

According to social-media tracker FameCount, Lady Gaga, 24, came in with an astonishing 5,720,931 followers while Britney Spears, 28, has a mere 5,699,039.

(I just checked the stats myself, and Lady Gaga is still in the lead with 5,744,985 and Britney Spears has 5,710,056)

Backstage at her Tacoma, Wash., show on Saturday, “Tween Gaga” – wearing a crown with a blue “T” emblem – showed her gratitude in an inaugural video message she posted on Twitter. “I wanted to thank all my beautiful little monsters for following me. Thank you for beginning my reign as Twitter queen,” she said, waving a scepter. “May you always have soft cuticles while tweeting; may you never have carpal tunnel.”

Jennifer Aniston’s new romantic comedy did so poorly, it landed in 8th spot, behind Piranha 3D, Nanny McPhee Returns and Vampires Suck. Ouch.

The Switch, which co-stars Jason Bateman opened with a disappointing $8.1 million, and didn’t even make the top 5.  Sylvester Stallone’s The Expendables came in once again at #1.

The Switch follows The Bounty Hunter, which was Jennifer’s last movie – and also a flop.

In The Switch Aniston plays Kassie Larson, an unmarried 40-year-old who turns to a turkey baster to impregnate herself after failing to find Mr. Right. Seven years following her son’s birth she reunites with her best friend, played by Jason Bateman, who has been living a secret – he replaced her preferred sperm sample with his own.

While I’m not terribly surprised, I still want to see it. I thought it looked cute! Did you see it? What’s your verdict?
