Angelina Jolie is set to make her directing and screenwriting debut for an upcoming film: a romance set against the Bosnian War. According to US Weekly, Angelina will not act in the movie.
According to British film company GK Films’ press release, the untitled film’s cast will be comprised solely of “various ethnicities of the former Yugoslavia.”
The Oscar-winning star and mother of six will also serve as producer on the film, which she described as “a love story, not a political statement,” in a statement issued by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), for which she’s goodwill ambassador. “I would like to involve as many local people as possible and learn as much as I can.”
Jolie was photographed scouting for locations in Budapest, Hungary over the weekend — with 2-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox as her companions; she also made a stop in Sarajevo, Bosnia, meeting with leaders there about the plight of war refugees.
Lady Gaga may have knocked Britney Spears down a notch on Twitter, but there are no hurt feelings.
“I’m a big fan of hers,” Spears, 28, tells the new issue of the U.K.’s Pop magazine, which features a Japanese anime-inspired photo shoot of the “Womanizer” singer. Britney adds that she wouldn’t rule out teaming up with Gaga, 24, for a song in the future. “Anything’s possible!”

Sandra Bullock will sit down with Matt Lauer on the Today Show next week! On Tuesday she will sit down with Matt in New Orleans.
She’s had a heck of a year. She won an Oscar for her performance in The Blind Side – and days later news broke that her husband of five years, Jesse James, had been unfaithful. In April she announced that she had adopted a baby boy from New Orleans, 3 1/2 month old Louis Bardot.
Just one week after the untimely death of her plastic surgeon, Dr. Frank Ryan, Heidi Montag sat down exclusively with Life & Style to tell-all about her plastic surgery regrets, revealing that she wants her outrageous G implants removed.
“I’m desperate to go back to normal,” she confides to Life & Style. “I’m downgrading and going a little smaller, to a D or a double D.”
More than nine months after she went under the knife on Nov. 20, Heidi says she is still in severe pain and her body has not gotten used to the over the top boob job. “I have major anxiety about it. I was taking painkillers but they weren’t working so I stopped. It hurt either way.”
Besides being unable to hug her four dogs or wear anything but custom-made clothing, “I’m obsessed with fitness but it’s impossible to work out with these boobs,” she says. “It’s heartbreaking. I can’t live an everyday life.”
And while Heidi tells Life & Style she is currently shopping for a surgeon in South America, she worries that she’ll be trapped in this cartoonish body forever after the untimely passing of her confidant Dr. Ryan. “I feel trapped in my own body,” Heidi tells Life & Style.
“There’s just no fixing it,” she says. “Dr. Ryan knows the work he did, he knows everything.”
Danny Boyle, the director who brought us Trainspotting, The Beach and Slumdog Millionaire, returns to theaters this November with 127 Hours.
The movie centers around the true story of Aron Ralston’s near death experience in 2003, in which he was trapped by a boulder while climbing in Utah. He was ultimately forced to cut off his own arm, in order to survive.
The trailer looks amazing, looks a lot like The Beach (which I loved!). Check it out above!
