Katy Perry has nabbed her man Russel Brand and tamed some his wild side. She discusses how she first attracted him and how he has changed since the pair have been together.

“I was 25, 30 feet away from him. And I threw the bottle straight at him: hit him smack dab on the head,” she tells Esquire magazine [via Huffington Post].

“Can you imagine the horrible feeling he had, when he was used to getting everything he wanted? I was like, ‘You’ve met your match, motherf*****.’ A week later we went on vacation in Thailand.”

Does Russell’s womanising ways worry Katy? “He used to basically be a professional prostitute — now he’s not. So he’s an extremist which can be both good and bad. I always needed someone stronger than me. And I am, like, a f****** strong elephant of a women. I say that hopefully in the humblest way I can.”

She claims the 2 my appear to be opposites, but they are actually quite alike. She claims it’s like having another diva in the house. Russel and Katy are currently engaged and seem to be making it work.

Perry also discusses her huge it California girls.

“I was thinking to myself how perfect it would be to have a California anthem. I can’t let the Beach Boys down. I can’t let Tupac down. I had the idea to put Snoop on — I thought he would be the cherry on top, and it would make me look cooler.”

What’s up with all the weddings? I guess it’s summer and that’s the time to tie the knot.

So we have another celebrity wedding to report. Johnathon Schaech and One Tree Hill star Jana Rae Kramer have gotten married.

The two wed this past Sunday in Michigan.

Guess who was among the guest. Jasmine Waltz, the waitress who allegedly punched Lindsay Lohan. She denies it!

Schaech 40, was previously married to Christina Applegate. The pair divorced in 2007.

Jonathon and Jana started dating while filming Prom Night together. He popped the question Dec. 22. Congratulations you two!

Actress legend Jane Fonda has a great 4th of July. Here she is as she arrives at the “Festival Paris Cinéma” in Paris, France.

She is a beautiful woman, but I am not sure I am feeling the outfit. Maybe it’s the gold sequins hanging out of the jeans. Or the moon and star earrings. Perhaps it’s the hat. Just seems a bit off.

Former Miss California USA Carrie Prejean, 23, has tied the knot! She married Oakland Raiders quarterback Kyle Boller, 28. The two exchanged ‘I do’s’ at The Grand Del Mar hotel in San Diego, Ca where Prejean is from.

The ceremony lasted a total of 25 minutes. Carrie looked beautiful in a mermaid style gown. Cocktails were served on the lawn following the ceremony.

After saying their goodbyes, the newlyweds were whisked away in a white Rolls Royce Phantom. Nice!

Prejean is best known for her controversial answer to Perez Hilton’s pageant competition question. He asked her if she was in favor of gay marriage. This was her reply.

“In my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman,” she replied. “No offense to anybody there, but that’s how I was raised and that’s how I think it should be, between a man and a woman.”

Her response outraged Hilton and others in the Miss California community. Hilton launched a crude attack against her. Organizer Keith Lewis even released a statement: “As co-director of the Miss California USA, I am personally saddened and hurt that Miss California believes marriage rights belong only to a man and a woman.”

Carrie continued to rub the community the wrong way by working for the National Organization for Marriage.

Then to top it off semi-nude photos of the former Miss California began to circulate. This almost cost her the crown, but Donald Trump came to her defense saying the photos were fine.

But that’s not where it ends. Prejean did end up having her title taken away.

On June 10, however, Prejean was fired for violating her contract and “unwillingness to make appearances on behalf” of the organization, according to pageant officials.

But in an in interview with Access Hollywood, Prejean claimed otherwise: “None of this would be happening right now if I just said, ‘Yeah, gays should get married. You’re right, Perez Hilton.’”

First runner-up Tami Farrell replaced her as Miss California USA.

Congratulations on your wedding Carrie. Aren’t you glad you have the right to get married in this country?
