According to TMZ, Jessica Simpson is dating ex San Francisco 49ers tight end Eric Johnson. Last time he played, he played for the New Orleans Saints back in 2008. Johnson is divorced, he split from his wife earlier this year.
Simpson — whose show, “The Price of Beauty,” returns to VH1 in 2011 — began dating Johnson in May.
A source tells us they are “very happy.”

Singer George Michael has hit another roadblock. He was arrested on Sunday for being unfit to drive in London, England.
Police were called after Michael’s car crashed into a building. Police found Michael, 47, behind the wheel, and he was then taken into a police station.
He was released on bail, and ordered to appear before the court in August.
In 2007 he was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs after he was found passed out behind the wheel of his car in Hyde park. He plead guilty and wasn’t allowed to drive for two years.
And then last year, he was arrested AGAIN on suspicion of driving under the influence, but he was never charged. He said he was “stone cold sober” during the accident and didn’t want his fans or family to be “worried by what they are reading.”
With all that money, George Michael certainly could afford a driver. He’s lucky he hasn’t killed anyone yet!
Sounds like it might be getting serious! Kate Hudson is taking her new man rocker beau Matt Bellamy to meet Goldie Hawn.
Let’s hope mama approves, because if mama ain’t happy, then nobody’s happy.
This is what Matt had to say about the upcoming meeting with Goldie.
“We are meeting up next week. I’m quite nervous,” the Muse frontman told the Daily Mirror.
“It’s a little bit too soon to talk about weddings and stuff. Ask me again in a few months though,” he teased. “I’ll let you know how it went with Goldie – and then who knows?”Bellamy, 32, and Hudson, 31, came out as a couple last month and have been taking in some of the British rock festivals since then.
“Things are going great. I am very happy. We had such a good time at Glastonbury,” he told the Mirror. “We just have fun together and are seeing how it goes. We have tried to keep things private so we haven’t told anyone how we met or any details like that.”
Hudson and Bellamy had previously met years ago but were both in relationships. Kate was then married to musician Chris Robinson. But now that they are single it’s on!

Briston Palin doesn’t want to be an actress and the world rejoices. Did any of you catch that clip of her acting on The Secret Life of The American Teenager? Not good. So not good. The acting that is.
Bristol claims she is done with acting and would much rather do speaking engagements. But she says right now she is focused on raising her 2 1/2 year old son Tripp.
Bristol was happy that she decided to appear on The Secret Life of The American Teenager even if her acting skills were less than stellar.
“I didn’t have many lines or anything like that,” says Palin. “I just hope that this show opens up a dialogue between parents and teens — and teens amongst themselves — about the consequences of teen pregnancy, sex in general and relationships.”
I think she is doing a good service trying reaching out to other teen girls faced with the pressures of sex and relationships. If anyone understand the consequences she does.
