ET spoke with “Glee” series creator, producer and writer Ryan Murphy yesterday in Los Angeles as he reacted to the show’s astounding 19 Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
Murphy breaks season two “Glee” news, telling ET, “We are writing a Britney Spears episode.” He goes on to say that “Glee” will also air a big tribute episode after next year’s Super Bowl, but didn’t reveal which star it will be based on. When asked if it would be Michael Jackson, Murphy smiled and said, “You’re close!”

Maggie Gyllenhaal is to star in a film about the origins of a sex toy.
The actress is reportedly in talks to take the lead role in “Hysteria”, a Victorian-era drama which examines the invention of the vibrator in the 1870s. The screenplay is based on the mid-19th Century medical idea that some women suffered from ‘hysteria’, a condition which encompassed symptoms such as irritability, anger and lack of sleep.
Medics treated their patients with a manual pelvic massage, but over time a clockwork, then electric, device was created to do the job, developments which the film will explore.
According to Daily Mail newspaper columnist Baz Bamigboye, Rupert Everett, Hugh Dancy and Jonathan Pryce are also in negotiations to star in the film.

“Welcome to the Rileys” — which stars Kristen Stewart, James Gandolfini of “Sopranos” fame and Oscar-winner Melissa Leo — was the talk of this year’s Sundance Film Fest. In the flick, Kristen plays a troubled teenaged stripper who finds herself adopted by a grieving couple. Critics have praised her performance, where she bares her soul, and a lot else, for the part. She’s even getting some early Oscar buzz. The flick opens in October November.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Stewart has gone edgy for a part — remember her turn in this year’s “The Runaways” — and it doesn’t seem like it’s going to be her last. She is slated to star as Marylou in the adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s seminal book “On the Road.” That movie is set to open in May 2011.

“Lindsay’s scared to death,” Dina Lohan tells Entertainment Tonight in her only interview since daughter Lindsay was sentenced to three months in jail on Tuesday in a Beverly Hills court.
The interview was conducted Thursday afternoon in Entertainment Tonight’s Studio City, Calif. offices. The conversation was emotional, with Dina stopping several times as she broke down in tears. Can Lindsay survive jail? Dina says, “You know, she’s strong, but until someone faces something as devastating as that…we’re going to have to see.” “God willing,” she adds, “it won’t happen.”
Dina tells ET that Lindsay is currently consulting new legal counsel and hoping to file an appeal before her court-mandated jail term, no later than July 20. “She’s a fighter, and until the final result — we’re not giving up.” Continuing on, “I think it’s time we get another attorney just to see it from another light and do damage control.” Dina says she and Lindsay spend hours each day on their own reviewing court documents, case law and information about the Los Angeles jail system.
Of the “ambush” in court, Dina says Lindsay was “completely blindsided.” Lindsay believes she was in complete compliance with the terms of her parole and that the outcome of the day in court was to be the removal of her SCRAM bracelet. Dina speaks out against Judge Marsha Revel for allowing the proceedings to be televised and making a “spectacle” of her daughter, saying, “This is not an OJ Simpson trial, which they made it out to be.”Furthermore, Dina questions Judge Revel’s fairness in the hearing, saying, “If she wants a trial, then make it a fair trial. I feel like Shawn [Chapman Holley], Lindsay’s [former] attorney should have stood up and said, ‘Listen, I didn’t know you were going to have witnesses.’ We would have had ten witnesses. We didn’t get a shot. We didn’t get a shot at fairness.”

UPDATE: Here’s video… LOL at the interviewer’s face! She looks hilarious! And also – I should say that Dina Lohan is as good of an actress as Lindsay… Holy crap…
