Gwyneth Paltow interviews for the August issue of Vogue magazine. In it she professes that her favorite food is french fries and that she loves to cook. Maybe that is why she also claims to work out 2 hours a day. Got to work off all those fries that she obviously eats.

Gwyneth also has some sound advice for people out there who like to cook. She says, “Invest in what’s real. Clean as you go. Drink while you cook. Make it fun. It doesn’t have to be complicated. It will be what it will be.”

Drink while you cook eh? I have some people coming over for dinner tonight! Guess I will be breaking out the bourbon… after all it will be what it will be.

She claims her father Bruce inspired her love of cooking.

“I always feel closest to my father, who was the love of my life until his death in 2002, when I am in the kitchen,” she writes in the tome. “I can still hear him over my shoulder, heckling me, telling me to be careful with my knife, moaning with pleasure over a bite of something in only the way a Jew from Long Island can, his shoulders doing most of the talking. I will never forget how concentrated he looked in the kitchen.”

During the hearing on Tuesday that led to the starlet’s 90-day jail sentence, the actress was seen writing frantically with a red pen. Later, she covered her face with the page, inadvertently showing it to the cameras. What she showed was detailed note taking, in pretty amazing block handwriting!

At the top, she notes, “Dad’s sitting behind Liana,” (likely a reference to Aliana, aka “Ali,” her sister) and refers to “so-called friends.” The rest is a timeline of the alcohol-awareness classes that “LL,” as she refers to herself, took and missed during the period of time she was ordered to attend them.

These notes add a cryptic layer to the troubled former child actor’s persona. With her frequent Twitter rants and late-night hijinks, one might expect Lohan’s notes to more closely resemble doodles, or the curse word she had painted on the rainbow-swirled nail of her middle finger (which Lohan claims was “a joke”). But there’s nothing ditzy about the impressively neat document, which looks more like the notes of a lawyer than a starlet.

Despite her responsible note-taking, Lohan may still be bitter about her sentence, she took to Twitter to quote the U.S. Constitution and, “impressively”, referring to Article 5 of the U.N. Universal Declaration of Human Rights’ prohibition against “cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.” After displaying her laudable legal-research abilities, Lohan ended her Twitter outburst with an entreaty to retweet a link to a Newsweek story about an Iranian woman awaiting a stoning as punishment for an adultery conviction.

Lohan has been ordered to surrender to her jail term on July 20 and spend the next 90 days in an in-patient rehab facility. At that time, she won’t have lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley by her side: Chapman resigned on Thursday, telling UsMagazine.com she and Lindsay are “very disappointed” by the sentence handed down on Tuesday.

Carrie Underwood will marry her prince, pro hockey player Mike Fisher at the Ritz-Carlton in Greensboro, Georgie this Saturday, July 10th. Mike popped the question last December, and gave Carrie a 12-carat diamond ring, worth $800,000!

The A-List couple have booked the entire hotel for the wedding, and for their guests. The price tag to rent the hotel? $268,000 a night!

People staying in the hotel who were not there for the wedding were served with a letter asking them to leave the premises by noon, Friday.

“She has blocked off all 251 rooms at the hotel,” says Carey Williams, editor of The Herald Journal in Greensboro.

Rooms range from $300 to $1,500 a night.

Underwood and Fisher will spend their first night as husband and wife in the Presidential House, which is fit for the country princess and hockey’s hunkiest star.

For a whopping $4,000 a night, the couple will get VIP use of the lake and the 18th green on the golf course — not that we think golf is on their agenda.

The massive 5,400 square-foot suite comes with four master suites, including two king-size rooms and two double bedrooms, a gourmet kitchen, terrace with access to the recreation room, private pool, living room and dining room that seats 16 people.

Underwood’s plans for her dream nuptials — expected to total more than $500,000 — are also taking shape, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.

A tent has been erected in the posh hotel’s ground — near the lakeside landing where she will walk down the aisle, in a perfect romantic setting.

The Ritz is known for protecting the privacy of its guests, but RadarOnline.com has learned, VIP visitors started arriving Wednesday night, even though Underwood herself won’t be there until Friday.

“Carrie will be flying in by helicopter on Friday,” Williams tells us.

RadarOnline.com has also learned the waterways near the luxury hotel will be closed off from the public during the wedding, to prevent prying eyes from getting a look at the bride.

Fisher asked for Underwood’s hand in marriage in December, 2009; the couple has been dating since they met at one of her concerts a year earlier.
