Ashlee Simpson-Wentz stopped by the Ken Paves Salon as part of Makeover Madness.

Tweeting about the outing, Simpson wrote, “At ken paves salon. come check the makeover madness rally for kids with cancer at the Ken Paves Salon today! I’m here and its fab!”

Eva Longoria also took part, where Paves offered up beauty packages available on a limited basis ranging from $250-1,000 with proceeds going to Rally for Kids with Cancer.

John says last Thursday’s guilty verdict, in which a Michigan couple was convicted of trying to blackmail him, doesn’t erase the sadness of the situation. “To be honest with you, nobody won,” John says. “It wasn’t like I was jumping up and down. It was a tragedy, you know? I mean, I went into it because the government asked me to be a witness. I wasn’t on trial. I got caught up in some bizarre trip that happened six years ago… I [was] doing what was asked of me. There was a federal crime and I got subpoenaed and I said, ‘Damn right, I’m gonna go. I’m gonna fight for the truth!’”

So was he nervous? “Never for one minute, I wasn’t scared …Even when they were preparing me for the witness stand, I said, ‘I’m just gonna go up there and tell the truth’ because…I mean they barely even prepped me! They said, ‘Just tell what you know. Tell what happened.’ So, when I got in the courtroom and there’s hundreds of people, and all of a sudden, this woman who I’ve never seen before in my life, this Sarah Henderson, gets up and starts spewing maybe the most hateful stuff that’s ever been said about me in my life, my heart just sunk into my stomach like, ‘Oh my god!’ And then when I found out that they were allowed to print these lies, like this Associated Press guy was feverously, you know, writing everything. I mean, literally I went home from the hotel and every muscle and bone and fiber of my body was sick.”

John says the hardest part of the whole experience was the attack on his character. “I’ve worked so hard my whole life, especially my last 27 years in the business, and it’s important to me to be a stand up guy, you know? Because that’s how my father was, and that’s the way he taught me. And in a matter of 20 minutes, in an opening statement, to have all that ripped away from you, is just absolutely…heartbreaking is the only word I could use. So, do I feel vindicated? I guess. I just wish none of it would have happened. Clearly, those kids didn’t win. The justice system proved right, but this costs millions of dollars, and the town of Marquette didn’t win.”

Still, the man we once knew as Uncle Jesse says he’s so grateful for the fans’ unwavering support—including those who showed up outside the courthouse to cheer him on. “The support was beautiful. It’s so nice to see that people are on my side, you know?”

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt hit the red carpet together for the first time in a while, and this time it’s to promote Angelina Jolie’s latest movie, Salt.

The super-thin Jolie couldn’t keep her hands off her man as they spent nearly an hour on the red carpet posing for pictures and signing autographs.

Jolie, 35, was wearing a tight Armani mini-dress, and Brad, 46, looked handsome as ever in his Tom Ford suit, sans his scruffy beard!

Angelina’s once-estranged father John Voight and brother James Haven also came out in support.

Jolie did some press before she and Pitt were escorted inside the theater. (The two even ducked behind a big Salt poster display and grabbed a kiss before the movie began.)

Munching on popcorn, the actress sat with Pitt in a middle row towards the back of the theatre, while her brother James and father sat a few seats down from them in the same aisle.

Afterwards, the gang then headed to an after-party, where Pitt and Jolie were very affectionate: Relaxing in their own booth in the center of the party, Pitt put his arm was around her, patted her booty and kissed her.

Voight joined their table shortly after 10 p.m., chatting up Pitt.

Jolie and her dad also shared a long talk. At one point, he told her, “I’m so proud of you!” and gave her a big hug.

It’s a good day for Britney Spears!

The investigation surrounding her former bodyguard’s claims that she was physically abusing her children has officially been closed.

Radar Online reports:

The department said there was “absolutely no truth to the accusations,” a Spears’ family insider told RadarOnline.com.

“Sean and Jayden’s pediatricians submitted documentation that the boys were healthy, and that they have never seen any signs of abuse. The case was officially closed after the department received that information from the boys’ doctor,” revealed the source.

While being locked up in Lynwood Jail, we’ve just heard that Lindsay Lohan won’t be able to take a shower on a daily basis. Yuck! Poor thing!

She’s likely to take eleven to twelve showers during her stint in jail, given she serves 22-23 days as reported.

She better shower up while she can, because she’s gonna be stinkin’ once she’s in there. You know, they’ll have her doing actual work while incarcerated, so this should get interesting.

Apparently the reason that Rachel Uchitel has decided upon doing Celebrity Rehab was because she’s been harboring a mad crush on Dr. Drew! He’s married, but I guess that doesn’t make much of a difference to her!

TMZ reports:

In fact, we’ve learned — it’s Rachel’s infatuation with Drew that led to her decision to do the reality show.

Sources tell us after Rachel initially turned down “Rehab” — Dr. Drew wanted a personal sit-down to change her mind … and she only agreed to the meeting because she says she has a mad crush on him.

So, now Drew has Rachel where he wants her … and Rachel’s got Drew right where she wants him.

He isn’t going to go for her, he’s way too smart for that!!
