Leonardo DiCaprio drops out of Mel Gibson film!
Leonardo DiCaprio might be a little leery of working with controversy-mired Mel Gibson – RadarOnline.com is reporting Leo has withdrawn from a Gibson-directed viking film.
Asked if Leo still planned to be involved in the project, a source close to the ‘Inception’ star told Radar, “Not a chance.” The film would have been the first collaboration between the two.
If officially confirmed, DiCaprio pulling out could be a major signifier of professional repercussions for Gibson in the wake of his alleged violent and racist rants.
“Leo has earned the right to pick and choose who he works with and Mel Gibson is not one of them,” Radar’s insider said, citing DiCaprio’s worries of risking his reputation by associating himself with Gibson.
Shooting was slated to begin this fall.

I think this is a good move. Leo is so nice and positive, he shouldn’t get into situations that can drag him down. I can’t imagine the questions that reporters would throw at him at press junkets!

I dont believe it. In his recent Rolling Stones interview he did talk about working with Mel Gibson and thinking him to be extremely talented. Admittedly that was before the tapes came out, but Mel had behaved pretty badly before – nothing those tapes made worse.
Finally, I must say, this is all an intrusion into Gibson’s affairs. That is his dispute, his misery. The public and TMZ really have no business judging the man based on some domestic dispute and allegations. We all have said thing at some point, maybe in anger, that – had they been published – would have really embarrassed us deeply. Why should he be scapegoated for it more than anyone else. Leave him alone.

Oh, I’d say making the judgment that Gibson sounds like a spluttering, babbling, eye-bulging lunatic with a swollen ego and an obsession with forcible blowjobs definitely isn’t rocket science. And it wasn’t just one time. Or one instance. When exactly did he morph into his father, I wonder?

elle, the tapes DID make it worse. MUCH worse. I’m sure that’s why Leo is backing out. Who in their right mind would want to be associated with him?
