This seems like perfect casting, if you ask me! Oscar winner Angelina Jolie has reportedly been attached to star as the lead in a Cleopatra remake, according to USA Today.
At a lunch this week in Manhattan to promote Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer Stacy Schiff’s new book, “Cleopatra: A Life,” Little, Brown publisher Michael Pietsch said Rudin envisions Jolie starring as the Queen of the Nile.
Rudin’s office then confirmed that the project “is being developed for and with Jolie,” who Schiff describes as having “the perfect look” to play the character.
As for who would play Julius Caesar in the movie, Schiff was stumped, but she did say that Jolie’s partner Brad Pitt would be a “no-brainer” to play Marc Antony.
Elizabeth Taylor originated the role in Joseph L. Mankiewicz’s “Cleopatra,” which was the highest grossing film in 1963 yet lost money for 20th Century Fox due to its then-enormous $44 million budget.

Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez was all smiles at the unveiling of the ‘Be Extraordinary’ billboard for the Boys & Girls Clubs Youth Advocacy Campaign at Times Square in New York City today.
Lopez recently opened up about what it was like working with Tom Cruise on last Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards. “Working with Tom was amazing!” Lopez, 40, told Extra. “I’m such a hard worker, and I’m kind of intense about my job. It’s great to work with someone who is just as intense and passionate and crazy about getting everything right.”
She went on to admit that she only agreed to perform on the show because Tom Cruise had called her to ask her personally. They rehearsed for the first time together just two days before the show!
“I said OK, we’d do a little mash-up of [Ludacris' 'Get Back' and Lopez's 'Get Right'],” Lopez recalls. “I come out and sing a little and then we dance together. But [I told him] you have to learn this cane dance that I do n the video.
“That is one of the hardest routines. But he did it,” she adds. “He really, really did it. And he did a great job! I was really proud of him.”
On Thursday, Paramount Pictures and MTV Films announced that a movie centering on Grossman is in the works. Grossman was first introduced in the 2008 Ben Stiller comedy Tropic Thunder.
“Les Grossman’s life story is an inspiring tale of the classic human struggle to achieve greatness against all odds,” Stiller, who will co-produce the film, tells Us in a statement. “He has assured me he plans to quote, ‘F**king kill the sh*t out of this movie and make Citizen f**king Kane look like a piece of crap home movie by the time we are done.’ I am honored to be working with him.”

It looks like The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice better start packing her Louis Vuitton bags! After Star first reported in our June 14 issue that Teresa and her husband, Joe, are bankrupt, the couple has put their multi-million dollar mansion on the market!
Teresa and Joe’s sprawling six bedroom, six bathroom home in Montville Twp, N.J., is set on 3.77 acres of wooded property with 2 ponds. The house — custom built for Teresa because she said living in a previously-owned home was “gross” — features extensive marble, granite and wood floors throughout with multiple fireplaces.

The asking price? A cool $3,999,999.
Teresa and Joe filed for bankruptcy in October 2009. As Star reported, the couple are up to their eyeballs in debt — to the tune of a whopping $8.5 million!
This makes me really sad. I hate to see anyone lose their home, even if it is a bit on the extravagant side, like this. It was their dream home, so it’s sad!

She is just the cutest little thing! I adore her! Her partner, and father of her boys is fellow actor Liev Schreiber. He’s not too hard on the eyes either!

Dave (Jay Baruchel) is just an average college student, or so it appears, until the sorcerer Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage) recruits him as his reluctant protégé and gives him a crash course in the art and science of magic. As he prepares for a battle against the forces of darkness in modern-day Manhattan, Dave finds it is going to take all of the courage he can muster to survive his training, save the city and get the girl as he becomes The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.
In a contemporary re–imagining of the classic tale, Jack Black stars as Gulliver, a big–talking mailroom clerk who, after he’s mistakenly assigned a travel piece on the Bermuda Triangle, suddenly finds himself a giant among men when he washes ashore on the hidden island of Lilliput, home to a population of very tiny people. At first enslaved by the diminutive and industrious Liliputians, and later declared their hero, Gulliver comes to learn that it’s how big you are on the inside that counts.
