Jason Bateman has issued an apology in the Great iPhone 4 Riot of 2010.

Last week, the actor ticked off a mob of 2000 by cutting in line with an Apple store employee to snag an iPhone 4. Via Twitter, Bateman initially claimed he was simply avoiding paparazzi and didn’t notice any ruckus.

But late Tuesday — after more eyewitnesses confirmed what really happened to UsMagazine.com — Bateman changed his tune.

“Correction- If there were boos, I didn’t hear them,” the star, 41, Tweeted. “If some were mad, I didn’t see them. I wish I had. If you’re out there, I’m sorry.”

Of Bateman’s paparazzi claims, he added: “I only counted ONE (1) Paparazzo and one other person who took a picture of him – both from across the street from a distance of at least 40 feet- so no one bothered him.”

Boooo! Byron Beck is the Portland authority on Entertainment News, and when he sent me this information, I was a little bummed! It was nice to see my hometown in the first Twilight movie!

The cast and crew of the fourth and fifth cinematic installments of the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn, have no plans of shooting either of the films in, or around, Portland, Oregon according to Byron Beck.

There was a rumor floating around that Summit Entertainment might return to the same Portland-based spaces as they did for the original Twilight film. But, alas, it’s not looking good for the return of the glittery vampires.

In fact, for the first time in the series it doesn’t even look they are going to shoot in the Northwest.

Rather, it looks like Bella and Edward will be “betrothed” somewhere in the deep South, possibly Alabama.

Now, how director Bill Condon is ever going to find pine trees in the deep South that look like they grew in Forks, Wash. is way beyond me.

But, hey, if the South works for True Blood, it’ll probably work just fine to wrap up this story too.

Filming is set to for late 2010 to early 2011.

FX, the cable channel behind the likes of Nip/Tuck, has successfully wooed Elijah Wood to headline it’s remake of the hit Australian sitcom Wilfred.

The project, which is being adapted by Family Guy vet David Zuckerman, revolves around a guy (Wood), a girl, and a mixed-breed dog named Wilfred, whom Zuckerman describes as “part Labrador retriever and part Russell Crowe on a bender.”

Jason Gann, who co-created and starred in the Aussie version, will once again play the title role (that is, when said title role appears in human form).

This marks Wood’s first major foray into television. The Lord of the Rings vet will next be seen in the fall film The Romantics opposite Katie Holmes, Josh Duhamel, and Anna Paquin.

Production on the Wilfred pilot will begin later this summer.
