Katherine Heigl is trying to help get those who abuse animals prosecuted! You go girl!

She has already helped save a dog who had been abused by its owner. Animal control found him with his legs tied together last month. The owners left him in a field in Bakersfield, California.

The former owner, James Worley, has been arrested! and faces charges of felony animal cruelty. The dog, England, is set to be placed into a new home today, thanks to Katherine’s “The Heigl Foundation”. Nice! Kudos to her!

Scarlett Johansson is ready to make more music!

She has already recorded her first album of Tom Waits covers, titled, Anywhere I Lay My Head, along with last year’s album with Pete Yorn, titled, Break Up. Now, she wants to do a third album!

She said, “I would love to do another album. The spirit has not moved me yet in that direction, but I would never put that idea out. I had such an incredible time doing Break Up and doing the Waits album that I think there might be something in there in the future. I mean, I love to do covers. Covers are fun. I’m a huge music lover, music collector, listener and all those things. I like to do covers ’cause I feel like I’m in the shower. I think I’d probably do original songs for sure.”

Bret Michaels’ sister, Michelle Sychak, says that the singer is not out of the woods just yet. We were all happy to hear that Bret is expected to make a full recovery, but we’re still wary that something unexpected could happen.

According to his sister, he may just be in clear, six months down the road. She talked to the Todd N Tyler Radio Empire earlier this morning and here’s what she had to say:

Michelle says: “Good news! It was shocking because I really didn’t see that happening. He’s doing really well. I mean, he sounded great. I could tell, you know I think that Barrows Institute is great, but when you think (and this is kinda what I was saying on CNN) about what was around him, he was doing so much better than most of the people that are in there. Imagine if you will you’re in a ward where you’ve survived this brain injury and you’re feeling pretty good and you’re yourself and you can walk and talk and you can do all those things. and then everyone around you or most of the people around you are either in a coma or maybe a vegetative state or they’re just nowhere near the level, you know what I mean? And just, I think it was very difficult for him to see that every day, and he said it just was so depressing and he really pushed to be transferred to you know someplace with I think people that were in the same level of mindset as he is….”

Wow! Vivid Entertainment has acquired the rights to Kendra Wilkinson’s sex tape and they’re planning on releasing the footage! Call the lawyers!

Vivid co-founder Steven Hirsch said, “We know that Kendra has millions of fans and we feel that it’s rare to find well-produced, hardcore footage of a star of her magnitude. The tape was brought to us by a third party and after consulting with our attorneys, we are confident in our right to distribute it. We’ve been trying to reach Kendra but have so far been unsuccessful. We therefore made the decision to release ‘Kendra Exposed’ to stores across the country by the end of May. We believe this could be our all time best selling celebrity tape.”

That’s just crazy! Maybe she needs to lawyer up and stop it? Or perhaps she thinks this will keep her in the public eye longer?

Jessica Simpson was in attendance at the White House Correspondents Dinner, looking bright in a yellow ensemble. At the afterparty, however, things weren’t so sunny.

Jess ran into her ex, Tony Romo, along with his new girlfriend, Candice Crawford!

A witness tells UsMagazine.com that the trio’s chat was “tense.”

Adds another observer: “You could tell they were uncomfortable.”

“It wasn’t awkward,” another source counters. “Candice didn’t say much. Jessica and Tony are still friends and talk. It was the first time Jessica met Candice.”
